Agreed. It's my belief that Thomas has a perspective that many don't. I have no doubt that he loves football but 3 times he had to come to a good mental place where football might not be his life forever. I believe legacy really matters to Thomas and he'll have the frank conversation about how his time here as a player will end and I believe that he will be one of the players who is afforded the opportunity to play out whatever the agreement is with the organization.

Just my 2 cents and what I hope to happen. He deserves that from the organization and frankly the organization deserves it from him for sticking with him when very few teams would have.

The rookies are more game ready today, pushing veterans out the way. The new rookie contracts also gives organizations flexibility to save money by cutting veterans with bigger contracts.
