NFL Free Agency Update Thread

seems Crabby Patty turned down 3M from the dolphins. I wonder if he's taking state taxes into account...

A little perspective, via Rotoworld...

Matt Moore's one-year, $2.6 million contract with the Dolphins includes $1.6 million guaranteed.

So the Dolphins only offered Crabtree 400,000 more than they did backup QB Matt Moore.

(and about 6-7 million less than what Crabtree thinks he's worth)

If taxes are in play you can take Oakland out of the running.

he must not have read the thing that said he was the 4th worst receiver for drop % last year.

I think the Texans would be a good fit for him but as we creep closer to the draft he is going to find out his ego bubble burst many weeks ago

I dunno.  His ego seems unbreakable.

I think he's still convinced he's "that good" and everybody just doesn't see it.

I was researching FA Strong Safeties and stumbled across this ESPN photo of Roman Harper. Please tell me this isn't his real photo. That neck is abnormally stretched out

Maybe Roman Harper actually IS a turtle.  He certainly moves like one on the field.  The neck provides strong supporting evidence.

You should see him in person... His freaking neck is as big around as my thigh.  That thing needs to be insured.

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
