Nate Allen, 27, is a former second round pick of the Eagles back in 2010. He signed a one-year contract to return to Philadelphia last year.

In 2014, Allen recorded 62 tackles, one sack, four interceptions, three fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and five pass defenses over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 28 safety out of 87 qualifying players.

Looks like the Iggles are getting Ryan Matthews. What a flip job they've done.

QB: Sam Bradford

RB: Ryan Matthews / Sproles

WR: Jordan Matthews / Huff

That has to be the most confused fanbase in the league right now.

I can't wait for the inevitable play where Bradford and Mathews both go down for the year on a botched handoff

David Hawthorne Reworks Contract To Remain With The Saints

His was the last big roster bonus they could convert to signing bonus to get cap room at $2.5 million. They are still about $500k over the cap if I mathed right.

NFL Notes: Dolphins, Eagles, Panthers, Rams, & Titans

Dolphins
Miami Dolphins had dinner with Clemson LB Stephone Anthony last night and are working him out today.

Eagles
New Eagles QB Sam Bradford was rehabbing at the Rams facility daily leading up to the trade.
Bradford is now running and expected to be throwing by OTAs.

Panthers
Florida State CB Ronald Darby is visited with the Panthers on Tuesday.

Rams
Rams could get RT Joe Barksdale given that he may have over-estimated his market value.
Free agent LB Jacquian Williams confirmed that his agent has spoke with the Rams.

Titans
James Harrison‘s agent confirmed that his client is “certainly interested” in signing with the Titans.

“We are certainly interested,” agent Bill Parise said of his Harrison’s interest in the Titans, via Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. “James feels very, very strongly about coach LeBeau. And I know Dick feels the same way. It’s a natural thing. I’m sure the Steelers are still in play, too. It will probably be one of those. I hope it’s one of those. We are not ruling anybody out, but the two logical fits are Tennessee and Pittsburgh. Those are the team teams that make the most sense.”

In terms of historic day one prospects (first three rounds), seems like we're really keying in on OT, DE, and CB.  Curiously, I haven't seen much if any talk of visits with WR prospects.

and we're throwing more gas on the fire talking about no WR visits for the draft

    • I respect his enthusiasm. Time will tell if it's warrented.
    • Oh I went off and fully entertained my wife last night as my emails go to her phone as well because of my health. So she got the whole conversation as it happened.    Like I went to games in Detroit for the cup finals, I've been to games in Greensboro, Raleigh, and Chicago as well. My mom and her nurse friend double dated one of the players from when the team was in Greensboro. "He's still with the team in some compacity as well." I know people who work for the team at the arena as well. How the hell would I not be considered a fan. Only reason I haven't gone to a game since 2022 is because of my health and money situation. Last game I went to was at United Center in Chicago and me and my wife spent around 1k for glass seats and some food at the arena and we were next to the penalty box. The pictures of the hurricane players I took are lost because my phone crapped out a few weeks later.
    • The Falcons win was a fantastic way to end the season and I think just about every Panthers fan would agree the team the coaching staff and particularly Bryce Young were impressive. We really needed that. Credit where it's due. At the same time. Now we have to establish it wasn't just a flash in the pan. We had one of those earlier in the season against the Raiders. As a tortured Panthers fan I have to acknowledge that. I know you're joking but in all seriousness I don't think the QB sneak is something for us to be concerned about in general but I would be lying to myself if I did not acknowledge that looking back at one particular game last season where we continually trotted out Eddie Pinero on 4th and short on the opponents side of the field we could use some creativity in those situations and it's also a matter of predictability. As time goes on it's something for Canales to work on and figure out. Especially with our kicker situation as it stands.
