Running Back?

Yes. Mike Tolbert. If Stewart goes down, Tolbert and Fozzy can handle it by committee. I hope we wait until next year to draft a RB and I'll be pissed if we sign one via FA.

NO,if Tolbert and Fozzy are our RBs last year then we WOULD have been a top 5 pick this year.

WHY would you neglect to draft a rb this year when it is the deepest crop of talented rbs in over 5 years????

That's like the dumb chiefs FO ignoring to draft a wr last year when the wr class was ridiculous.

We got double trouble and Fozzy..... Oh wait.

Yes I am worried because we are a run heavy team. If Stewart goes down I don't think Fozzy can be the feature back and Tolbert can't be relied to replace Stewart even if it is temporary. Unless our staff truly believes in Reaves I see us drafting a RB late in the draft. There is supposed to be a decent amount of RB in this draft so I believe we will find a better RB, compared to Barner and Gaffney.

Honestly I would love to get Langford from Michigan state in the mid rounds. Who knows maybe we can find some no name RB in the 6th round that will be the next Alfred Morris.

Because we have more important needs and holes elsewhere. If we get a good RB at a value pick, I'm OK with it, I just think we can get through this season with what we have and would like to see other areas addressed.

As long as everybody's cool. Here's to hoping that we never have to re-visit this thread in week 6.

With Stewarts Health history we should always be prepared for the worse possible scenario. I don't think we should sign Demarco Murray our Ryan Mathews but either a mid-late round RB or vet min back would really be great insurance.

I still don't feel comfortable with the vet minimum philosophy for this team. I equate it to the Saints (heavy passing team) starting Nick Foles(because he has a strong showing in 2013).

Stewart has repeatedly proven he cant stay healthy an entire season. It's an unnecessary gamble to hope and pray he will do it when he has shown he can't. The Panthers like to run the ball, Fozzy and Tolbert are not really reliable either. If you have a shot at drafting a talented RB when the value is there you have to take it.

People aren't lying when they say this really is one of the deepest RB drafts in some time:

Gordon

Gurley

Coleman

Duke Johnson

Abdullah

David Johnson

Ajayi

Langford

Josh Robinson

Taz Crockett

David Cobb

All of these guys could have an impact on a team's active roster.

some names not on your list

Javarious Allen USC

Cameron Artis-Payne Auburn

TJ Yeldon Bama

so yeah, I would be a little disappointed if the Panthers did not bother to select a single RB from this draft.
