This is Cam's year to silence a lot of critics

If we land another stud WR Thursday night, he wouldn't have to match KB's rookies stats to have a major impact on Cams performance. Just the presence of another competent threat would open up our offense and create coverage problems for the opposing defense. And Cam was never completely healthy last season. Im also a realist and I really believe that the FO is in the process of sitting the table for Cam to have a breakout season.

So what if we go defense or running back? then what Cam has to rely on a mid round WR to be his second best WR right away.

The way free agency went our FO hasn't set any table period.

Did you happen to notice how much it would have cost us to sign one of the FA WRs?

Just lol at thinking Cam has fully arrived and doesnt need to step things up to the next level and be more consistent and get out of the middle of the road QB ratings.

I fairly certain that no one

is trying to advance the argument that Cam has "fully arrived".

It's not a matter of Newton not being able to throw for 30 touchdowns. I have little doubt that he could.

First of all, we've invested substantially in our defense. It's time to put some into our offense. We lacked the firepower at times to keep up with the more potent offenses of the NFL last year. It showed in the regular season, and it showed against Seattle in the playoffs. Keep adding talent to the offense.

Our offense isn't really built to throw the ball that much, we rely heavily on our ground game, that has been our identity. Not to mention who our OC is. We know Cam can air it out. Last year though we lacked the speed to spread out defenses. Adding another WR in the draft would go a long way in helping.

No disrespect. :)

This is really a misnomer (though folks, especially outsiders like to say this). I'm sure you know this as well.

Except for a stretch by Stewart last year, no Panther RB has been reliable since Cam's been here (unless you're talking about Cam himself). Certainly, the offense didn't start with the run game during Cam's first 2 years. And the two years after that they've been mostly injured and/or inconsistent under Shula ball. :startle:

That's the sad part of it. The Panthers have RB's who can't run, or stay healthy. And an OC, who doesn't know how to use his QB, who can both throw and run.

Actually, the team was best last year when they ran the no huddle under Cam's direction. However, Shula appears to want to prove something by having the offense rely mostly on his crappy play calling. :phew:

Hopefully, the Panthers draft another stud receiver, and an O-Lineman; while Cam and the line are blessed with good health? And of course, Shula with good play calling!! :cigar:
