worst picks ever by franchise

Carruth is the worst human to wear a panthers uniform, not even close either. I did see a news package about the Special Olympics and I saw his son competing, and I was really happy for him. Out of his dad being a scumbag, his son is an inspiration.

It's sad and scary how much they look alike though. I agree with your post completely.

As bad a what Rae did was, Pickles was a worse pick, football wise.  Just bad, bad, bad, bad.

I don't agree with that. I still think Clausen has never gotten a fair shake in the NFL. He was a whipping boy his rookie year for a franchise that didn't want to win. Then a backup behind a better player. He looked better in Chicago with Trestman but now he's back with Fox.

Biakabutuka wasn't really a bust IMO. He was injured the first few years and had a few years (1999 and 2000) where he was good and could have been very good in an offense that actually ran the ball every now and then.

Carruth is obviously the worst, but if you exclude the whole murder thing Jason Peter and Rashard Anderson were just as bad. Outside of the first round picks, Bruce Nelson, Eric Shelton, Chris Terry, Dwayne Jarrett, Everette Brown and Jimmy Clausen are clearly the worst.

    • At this point the Tepper's seem to be leading you around by the nose based on how much time you spend carrying water for them so I'm not surprised you're struggling. We are the only team who saw fit to install Andy Dalton with his zero career playoff wins as a culture cornerstone and a key mentor. Even the putrid Saints wanted no parts of that. Truth hurts 🤷‍♂️
    • They have drafted two QB's since they took Hurts in the 2020 Draft. Tanner McKee(6th - 2023) and Kyle McCord(6th - 2025). In that span we have drafted Bryce Young(1st - 2023) and Matt Corral(3rd - 2022). Technically, we have invested significantly higher draft capital on QB's(albeit one less than they). It's not the investement that is the issue, it's the results. Corral was literally not a rosterable player with a THIRD ROUND PICK. We gave up a king's ransom for Bryce to basically get Davis Mills results(so far).
    • No QB from the draft or free agency was going to change this being a losing season for us. I mean we’re rebuilding, everything we’re doing is meant to be for winning tomorrow.
