Then they have the funny looking, weird, useless players that they sell out of the Airplane Skymall catalogs....I hope it doesnt come down to those guys.
i love those...not quite as cool as the players you find in the sharper image with all the bells and whistles and tracking devices and non of them turn into a chair but still, it helps pass the time on the runway.

for the record, seeing them in victoria's secret weirds me out. grady jackson in a thong? ruins the whole catalog frankly.

When is the rule where we can re sign him and not lose the tag option for future? I know it is at somepoint this year question is when? Maybe a sign and trade. Someone get me straight there?Im holding out that we still can get something for him.

I feel as no one would give him the kind of dough he is looking for to play lb, however In the end, with uncapped year coming you never know what synder would do.

Ok think I found some of the answers. http://football.about.com/cs/football101/a/franchisetransi.htm

Found this link really interesting. This basically states any team could make peppers an offer until the 10th week of this season. Panthers would have the option to match. If they do not they would get two first round draft picks. Thats really interesting I dont think that has ever happened in season has it?

Makes me wonder if peppers brainack agent went out looking for buyers and found peps true value which is far less than hurneys offer, which in turn is much less than the tag. I mean if he is truely availible to be signed by another team to an offer sheet, why has that not happened? Clearly his value is not as high as he and his agent thinks, especaily not as a 3-4 lb.

Whats the likely hood he believes panthers wont let him go without comp? Knowing no other team wants to pay him that much and likely lockout is comming.

Does this make sense, it if he gets his 17m this year and 20+ m next year under a tag thats far more than he could make on any contract before the likely lockout, right?

Should have just let him go! Picked up some Dline starters, had some oline depth.

Peppers is very good most of the time but the way the NFL is now you gotta let overpriced players go elsewhere and the many places we have needs.

Hey. What this all about? still bitching about a player getting paid, or that he is getting paid at the expense of your team. As Razor said.....get over it. It's done. when the time comes........next year, then we can discuss it. Even though we have no effect on what the team will do.

Wow, people still complaining about the money Peppers is making.

bunch of green eyes in here.

It's not the money - it's America, make all you can. It's the cost vs. productivity. It's the cost to our depth that is ever more noticeable as final cuts come. We are not as deep as last year, even after at least 3 good draft picks w/ possible immediate payout.(Brown, Goodson, Munnerlyn)
