Balls + Heater = Low hanging fruit

"@SteveReedAP: Panthers say they have "no comment" on Patriots allegations they and the Vikings put balls in front of heaters during away game in 2014."

My question is who doesn't put their balls in front of the heater while in Minnesota? Have you not seen what a MN winter can do to the twig and berries?

A warm ball would only stay warm for a minute or two in those temps and both teams were doing it.

Every pun is fully intended.

4 hours until beer time. Woot!

Every time I see this I wonder what it is exactly that people don't get. Both teams did it. Both teams warned during the game. Both teams stopped. No cover up. No desire to flout the rules.

If teams need to be punished fine. But to connect the two as pretty much the same thing is irresponsible in my mind. Trying to be objective and not a homer.

Also...picture is accurate. Twigs and berries are in danger. Do something before it's too late. Think of the children!

    • I don’t see how Fandual/Main Street Sports survives this. The Atlanta Braves are a huge source of income and they’re leaving the network. And those of us who subbed to Fandual Sports-South to watch Braves and Canes aren’t going to pay $20 a month with no Braves games during baseball season. https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2026/02/02/sources-all-nine-mlb-teams-officially-leaving-main-street-nba-and-nhl-in-holding-pattern/
    • I agree the trenches are critical, but after Mauigoa and Fano, any OT at 19 would be a huge reach.  Get another playmaker for Bryce.  It will do more to prove if he's here beyond the rookie contract and will also prove if Canales is here beyond next year.  He's supposedly an offensive genius, time to prove it, and a barely average, rookie OT isn't going to help his case.  Go look how lost Will Campbell looked in almost every game, and New England managed to win 17 of them thanks to Josh McDaniel and their QB. No doubt OT needs to have natural talent and athleticism, but there is ALOT you can coach into a lineman to get more out of them with later round guys.  Versus a skill position where speed, size, and hands are premiums in the first round that you can't match in late rounds unless you get lucky.  Our front office and scouting department have never been lucky.
