If Gettleman is this ingenious with Cam's contract...what comes next?

The guaranteed Cam $$ pissed me off at first blush until I understood when and how it was structured.  Now that I have read, watched, read again, watched again the whole thing, Davey-boy did well.  Very well.  And everybody is happy in both camps.

What comes next?

CJ restructure?  TD extension?  Signing Norman long term?  Surprise Kuechly-year-early extension?

Lot of $$ floating around in 2016 and 2017.  Dave is no dummy and has played the cap like a fiddle.

What is the Hebrew Hammer's next move?  My vote is Norman then Luke.

What say you Roaring Riot wannabes?

Has to be TD, I love Norman but wanna see if he can play like last season or better.

CJ would free up money and keep a core player, but I think you take the hit now and see how the young guys play. Getting frank back could be huge. Also if all goes well we can have high level play for cheap the next few years by letting CJ walk.

I would handle Luke's contract, as far as timing like he did with Cam. We had options with it.

I am fuging pumped about resigning Cam.

I think Kawann Short will get extended next bc Luke has that 5th year option we exercised that Star also has. Kawann was a 2nd rounder with no option.

Kawann could be extended before Norman(possible walk if unreasonable due to premium diva-position), then Kuchley.  Gettles will want to lock in the D line.

TD on a 2 yr extension? It is possible but his replacement was drafted.

-I see us drafting a bunch of DEs to offset the possible loss of CJ. A restructuring is due but for 2-3 years probably.

Five year players: Mario Addison (signed through 2016), Richie Brockel (signed through 2015), Colin Jones (signed through 2016)

Four year players: Nate Chandler, Luke Kuechly (signed through 2016), Kyle Love, Josh Norman (signed through 2015), Brad Nortman (signed through 2015), Chris Scott, Amini Silatolu, Jordan Todman, Teddy Williams

FYI - Luke's 5th year option is 11.1 million, guaranteed.

Kawann Short is in his 3rd year. Thomas Davis is a FA in 2019. So there's no rush on either of these.

Frank Alexander signed a 4 year contract in 2012. He'll be a FA in 2016. Even though panthers.com lists him with 3 years experience, because of the suspensions maybe.

My guess of who's next ---> Brockel, Norman, Nortman, Alexander. Norman being the biggest.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
