​Again, Luck has not had a sub 60% since his rookie year so what is there to talk about?

On the other hand, Cam's coach, Ron Rivera as recently as March said Cam needs to improve his consistency which is off due to his footwork and mechanics. It's not made up by the media.

The article is pretty spot on (I know I'm late!).  The fact is, in the NFL, even if you aren't sure your guy is THE guy, you end up having to pay them.  You can't take the chance they are not THE GUY unless you really know that...

Cam has his strengths and his flaws.  I do think that he will continue to get better, but he's at the put up or shut up point in his career.  Gettleman believes that he's going to put up this year and the future.  Having those HUGE WRs is going to help a lot, as will being healthy for the first time in a long time.  

He's our prize horse, so we're just going to have to see where he takes us.  I think he's our best bet than anyone we could get in the next 3 years.

Don't let the media fool you, we have a VERY good quarterback on our team, Luck is just the newest great white hype as some of the former ''pocket stars'' fade into the wind. 

Heaven forbid a black, dual-threat QB on an offense with NO OL, NO WR's, and spotty play-calling find success even when his hands are tied due to personnel. 

If we could've had Indy's receiving group/OC Newton would've been just as dangerous in the passing game. But you give us Shula, Cotchery, Avant, and two UDFA's in Bersin and Brown along with a sub par OL you should EXPECT  a drop off. Not to mention ankle surgery, cracked ribs, and transverse fractures in his back, and the man only missed two games!!!

In the last season we had a competent receiver group, Newton was 61.7% and had his highest total output in passing TD's thrown (24) and in another 6 rushing for (30 overall). Oh and by the way he tied a career low in interceptions with just (12), Less than a turnover a game (.75). For reference Luck threw 16 INT's (1) turnover a game average....food for thought. 

If we keep building and developing the offense around Newton, by providing a real OL support, competent receiving threats (which I think we are on our way), and a stout run game (as I like the additions of Todman, and CAP) I feel like we along with a handful of NFC teams will be at the top. 

Our defense IMO is only rivaled by Seattle, I can't see any other NFC defenses finishing better than ours, and theirs. Factor that in behind Newton the ONLY advantage Luck really has is playing in the AFC South vs the likes of Bortles, Mariotta, and whoever Houston has (Mallett?).

It almost seems as if NFL.com waited for Newton to get an extension for them to start writing quality articles about Newton.

Completion percentage doesn't tell the whole story anyway. Not many stats do. How many times did we see Lafell, KB, and even Smitty drop a PERFECT pass? Dead in the chest, wide open in the endzone, and dropped it? But how many times have KB or Olsen caught passes they shouldn't have? How many times has Hilton bailed out Luck? How many times has Luck's receivers just straight up dropped a PERFECT pass? 

But as far as Cam's accuracy issues/footwork/technique or whatever, other things come into play. Such as injuries, protection (lack of), and knowing there is a lack of protection. Are all these the only reason Cam throws a bad pass? No, he isn't perfect. No QB is. However, no one can say these things don't matter.
