New here to the huddle but not to the team. PSL owner since first year in Ericsson Stadium. Talking with fans here in Virginia and wondering if this is a season when we can break the ten in both offense and defense?  The skys the limit if we can get there????

In 2014 we were:

OFFENSE #16  DEFENSE #10

2013

OFFENSE #26 DEFENSE #2

2012

OFFENSE #12  DEFENSE #10

2011

OFFENSE #7  DEFENSE #28

Whats the feeling among fans if we can put it all together?

I think a top 10 defense is almost a guarantee. But I think the offense will be somewhere around 12/13. I just don't see us cracking the top ten with our methodical approach. However, I do believe it is possible. I just don't believe we will quick strike enough to keep up with other high powered offenses. I see us being close tho.

Get with the times breh, no one with half-a-brain looks seriously at total statistics in the NFL any more. It's all about efficiency. And by most standards, we were a top-10 offensive and defensive team in 2013 efficiency-wise.

#s don't lie BREH, just a blanket question, by what most standards are we a top ten offense in 2013?

Yep. Our offense was tenth in yards and points per drive, and our defense was tenth in yards allowed per drive and second in points allowed per drive. Offensively, we had the 12th-highest percent of drives ending in points (36.5%) and the 7th-fewest percent of drives ending in turnovers (9.4%).

    • Been here a while but rarely post and most of them are smartazz. Mostly lurk just so I can sound informed while hanging out drinking beer in my neighbors garage. Amusingly a Huddle level of knowledge kind of makes you a subject matter expert. Thanks for that.
    • That’s similar as saying MVP Cam is the same as rookie Cam because his mechanics didn’t change. We’re talking about production.
    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
