Interview with Tre Boston

I love me some Tre.  I was concerned when we drafted him because an up and down career at UNC.

But I think he had 3 different DC's while there, and they moved him around in the defensive backfield,

so that may have been why.  He is a good player, and he looks like a good starter for us that we got in the

4th round.

Plus, he's exactly what we want in a DB in our system....a ball hawk.

You hit the nail on the head as to why he was not as productive in college as he could have been, and why the scouting department under DG's guidance are hitting homers in the late innings of the draft.  Boston played 3 positions under 3 DCs at UNC..  3 Head coaches too.  I don't know how a player performs at a high level against those odds.  He had a bad game vs Seattle, but he will learn from it and move on.  I love the comment about working harder than the people coming in to take his job.  That is how you stay on top.

Not to mention he played his whole senior season with that hernia that plagued him early last year.  A lot of people don't know that, or forgot.  It really held him back.

[Sorry... had problems with the quote.]

He's got such a genuine smile like Cam.  I saw him at OTAs and he was very very nice and seemed to enjoy autographing emincly.

But.... but.... wait.  I thought Cam had a fake smile?!?!  LOL.

I didn't know.  Again, I salute the scouting dept.  under Dave's guidance.  They are finding players under rocks and finding the players hidden in plain sight.
