Yard Moles

Anyone ever had issues with them?

 

I finally get my yard close to the way a yard is supposed to look after buying the house a couple years ago, and now I have freaking moles destroying it.

 

Tried poison worms, bait, and a local landscaper to spray to get rid of grubs....nothing.  Just ordered some traps, just didn't know if anyone had ever dealt with them.

Our cat used to kill 2-3 of those fugers a day when I was a kid. I'm not a big cat person, but they damn sure know how to take care of some rodents.

Yeah, I have been having a bitch of a time with voles the last two years. They are back again. Let me know how those traps work.

Had some in my yard. I hooked a hose to the exhaust on my truck and shoved it in one of the holes. Let the engine run for a few minutes and plugged any hole I could find. Bye bye rodents.

traps will do the trick. find a tunnel, depress a small section of it, stake your trap in the ground with the trigger resting on the depression, and the next time a mole comes through he's toast. repeat as necessary.

i need to get a cat or two to take care of the rodents around here. we've got a lot of land and you'd think they'd be happy in the woods, but no....they like the grassed areas around the house. rodents bring snakes and snakes make for an unhappy wife.

we've also got a ground hog that's getting into my garden and eating my cabbage and broccoli and started eating my younf sunflowers. it's only a matter of time before it gets into my squash and zucchini and will be an even bigger pain when the beans and watermelons start producing. today i'm gonna get my shotgun out and camp outside the one hole i know it uses. this is the first year the deer have stayed out of my garden. i'm not going to lose my food to that big rodent anymore.

We had them bad in our yard as a kid. Those traps worked well and honestly were kind of fun for an 8 year old to check each day for "victims".

I had considered getting a cat and letting it handle it.  Just got the traps Saturday, and plan on putting them out this week.  Need to mow really close first so I can see the fresh runs.

I need to get some goats out of my yard. Would be great if there was a giant mole trap like device made for goats.
