Panthers vs Seahawks

I rewatched that game, along with the All-22 not too long ago...

Cam played a pretty damn solid overall game, but that INT against Sherman, and the pick 6 against Kam were two REALLY big fug ups on his part.  Yeah, everyone can bitch about Bersin being the first read and whatever else, but the fact is he had two wide open targets on both those plays.  KB was wide open for about a 20 yard gain on that Sherman INT, and someone (can't remember who exactly) was wide open on that pick 6 just within arm's reach of a first down.  There were a lot of times where Ed Dickson was open for a big play too that we didn't capitalize on IIRC.

Other than that though, he played pretty damn good everything else considered... Seattle just absolutely punished us for every mistake we did make that day.

And Cam was fuging amazing. Played significantly better against them than Rodgers, Peyton, and maybe even Brady despite having terrible WR and o-line compared to those QBs.

Cam wasnt without fault, he threw the game clinching INT to chancellor. He doesnt throw that and we get points out of the drive could be a different game. But he played well for the most part. Kelvin played well while the rest of the team seemed to struggle. The defense costed us the game IMO. Bad tackling, bad coverage, no containment on russell just wasnt the D that played good up and to that point.

8/8 on 3rd down ain't gonna happen every game.  Take Max out at center for a bum, add a healthy Star and Shaq, and that ain't happening, even with Jimmy.

The mental mistakes from Cam are the ones I'm really hoping we see less of. He simply can't make them if we want to make the superbowl.

I'm glad his contract isn't one that is backloaded, because as of right now it seems like we'll need a 2013 Seahawks style team to allow him to win a superbowl. We can't reliably pass the ball.

People said Michael Jordan couldn't make mistakes and/or wouldn't win a ring either for 7 years before he won his first.  Cam is growing and less face it, to win THAT game against a more talented team at their place, chances had to be taken.

Of course he wasn't perfect and that INT was bad, but Brenton fuging Bersin was the #1 option on that play and he tripped running his route. He tried to do too much and force it Dickson when he should've thrown it away or taken a sack, but we never should've put him in that position to begin with. And even with that pick, compare his game to Manning's in the SB, Rodgers' in the NFC Championship Game and Brady's in the SB and take a look at the receivers and o-line and offensive coordinators on each team... And Cam and Rodgers were in Seattle while Brady and Manning were neutral, and there is a difference. Cam playing better than Brady did may seem questionable on the surface but think about it. Cam played against a healthy secondary in Seattle, with our mediocre WR group (Philly hurt) and our poor o-line and Shula while Brady played with his large amount of weapons and above average line and a superior coaching staff, at a neutral field and against a secondary with Sherman and Thomas hurt and Lane out of the game. All Brady did was dink and dunk and let his players get all those yards for him, and that's why he had so many completions and a high %. His yards/attempt was terrible. Alex Smith could've played just as well as Brady did that game considering all the other factors.

You are simply ridiculous. Outside of Gronk, who are these "large amoutns of weapons" you speak of? Not to mention his clutch drive to put them up and his clutch 3rd down plays to keep drives alive. Brady absolutely exposed that defense, Seattle D didn't know what hit them. And you are trying to discredit him because he dink and dunked all game, but THAT IS HOW YOU BEAT SEATTLE. i get it, everybody hates Brady, but you are just being too naive and a homer. If Cam had the exact same game Brady had (including the game winning drive), we would talk about that FOREVER. Don't be such a homer.

I....just...can't trust his durability. I can't.

honestly I can. I think it's been bad luck with injuries and he's been sitting behind Williams with a fat guaranteed contract. I think he may have gotten lazy but now he's the feature back and soon will be expendable. I think he'll work hard and do well.

There is a saying about leopards and spots. Homers are going to Homer

the first Cam interception was basically a punt so I wouldnt be worried about it. Luke Wilson tore our D up and the 3rd down defense was abysmal, but besides that it was a good game. Dickson still should have came back to the ball on that Chancellor INT and might have had a chance to break it up.
