Russell Wilson has won exactly TWO games in his career where the defense has given up more than 24 points. Those came against the Oakland Raiders and in overtime vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's lost the other NINE times this has happened. Still think his defense doesnt carry him?

Numbers crunched. Cam has also won 2 (starting in 2011). That was out of 25 games where more than 24 points were given up. You didn't mentions the number of games for Hawks. Will also note that there were 3 games where defense gave up exactly 24. Lost 2, won 1.

Could have save yourself by at least showing how the Panthers have done when the defense gave up over 24.

Cam's rookie season was 0-10 w/l when opponents scored 24+ and 6-0 w/l when opponents were held under 24.

Cam has a career 3-24-1 w/l when the opponent scores 24+.

I bet no current QB has a career winning record when their opponent scores 24+. But Cam's record in absolutely terrible in that aspect and using it to say Wilson sucks is pretty stupid.

Exactly. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone that's good in this area.

    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
    • It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
