Any DB fans out there heehee?  This past week the new series (Dragon Ball Super) aired it's fifth episode.  I'm curious to know how some of you felt about it?  For me, in spite of being a Dragon Ball fan, it had me questioning if I should watch anymore episodes.

I should back up my claims:

So in this new serious is Dragon Ball Gt not cannon? 

Super takes place after the majin buu arc in dragonballz. GT isn't cannon, the creater had no involvement in it, nor where any of the episodes/story arcs in the manga. Super is basically a retelling (with more plot points added) of battle of gods and resurrection f. After that i hear there will be another villain arc.

I need to know if it continues being the same thing as the movie. 

It loosely follow the movies, with changes here and there.  It is also going to tell what took place between the two recent movies.  Yet going back to this latest episode, I still don't know if I should continue watching it.  Here's some of the screen captures of the fight between Goku and Beerus...

Haha.  This is just embarrassing.  It's funny because the previous couple of fights leading up to this were animated pretty well.  Yet they choose a critical fight, one that most fans were waiting for, to be lazy with.  In fact, I never seen anything like this, and I've watched a lot of series that lasted a 100 plus episodes. (Which they estimate this series will go over that number)  Of course the funny thing is had they done this for a lesser fight, I probably wouldn't have cared all that much but this is a canon fight.  So if they have another main fight that goes like this, I'll probably just read a synopsis of the series once it's done or while it goes on.

Being a long time fan of the show I will probably check it out. But I hope they start letting other characters get the lime light. The reason DBZ became lame was because no matter what villian, Goku ends up saving the day at the end. Somehow someway. It just got lame and unoriginal.  It would be nice to see the other non saiyan characters return to some sort of relevancy.

Also Vegeta is the man and is the show's best character. Just saying.

      Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game

      I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
