Colin Jones' miraculous overnight recovery from seemingly season ending groin injury

Apparently has to see a specialist. This isn't good!  What have we done to upset the football Gods?

FUG MAN! <---yes I'm yelling

STs will take a hit, and I was hoping that he would possibly start at Safety.

May go to PUP allowing for Marlowe to make the roster as the 4th safety.

There's no PUP anymore.  That's only for players who can't practice in Training Camp.  Now it's IR - out for the season, or IR with designation to return.  Out for 6 weeks.  But you can only do that with one player per season.  (which really bothers me. really wish NFL would increase that to at least 3 players per season).

Or, he stays on the 53 but isn't activated any time soon.  It's a tough situation.

There is a regular season PUP but I'd have to look up the rules.

Yes there is. PUP starts in TC and the player can be taken off of it anytime during camp, but if they aren't taken off when the regular season starts, they are ineligible for 6 games while on the PUP list. IR (designated to return) is different. 6 weeks after being placed on the list if cleared, a player can practice with the team but isn't eligible to play until 8 weeks after they are placed on it.

It's Wikipedia, so it may not be 100% vouched for, but here's an overview of the PUP which makes me think that PUP is now only an option for Presley

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physically_unable_to_perform

Preseason PUP

A player who, as a result of football-related injuries, is unable to take part in training camp practices may be assigned to the preseason PUP list. Players can be moved off the PUP list to the active roster at any time, even after one practice. A player cannot be placed on the PUP list, however, once he has taken the field for a practice, even if only for a few minutes.

Regular-season PUP

A player who finishes the preseason still on the PUP list can then be placed on the regular-season PUP list. Such players must sit out the first six games their team plays. At that point, teams have a five-week window in which to allow the player to begin practicing; from the day the player begins practicing, teams have an additional 21-day window in which to decide whether to activate the player to the 53-man roster. If either of those deadlines pass, the player must remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.[1]

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
