Josh Norman...

He also should of had a taunting penalty on his pick 6 which should of given the Jags a rare returnable kick.

Eventually he isn't going to get lucky with the flags...

I know this type stuff is what according to some makes people a hater to some.  But I'm not a fan of dumb football.  Dumb football doesn't cost you against the Jags.  It costs you games against the good ones

hes not a shut down corner, if not for bortles making a bad throw and hitting him the back, the jags would have had a TD

Personally, I don't think there is any such thing as a Shutdown Corner.  But there are some that are better than others.  I don't think Norman is the best corner in the league, and he certainly makes a few mistakes.  But I do think he is in the upper half of the league.  Which is good enough for me, and I hope we keep him as long as he doesn't cost us to much.

BUT IT DIDN'T COST US THE GAME. He essentially won us the game. His attitude is what makes him who he is and gives him his intensity. For crying out loud the man forced 2 turnovers this game and scored a touchdown. Even if they did call a flag I'd give him a pass cuz im pretty sure for most people 2 turnovers and a td far outweigh a taunting flag.

Imo, he, much like Cam throughout his career, has his game nitpicked to a far greater extent than his peers for reasons that have nothing to do with football, but personality.  People know he has a reputation for trash talking, showing people up, starting or getting caught up in fights, etc.  So, many overreact to his failures while diminishing his successes.

His game today was the performance of an elite level CB.  CBs, even the best, are beaten every Sunday.  The best ones give up the least on a regular basis and get the ball back where they can.  He caused two turnovers, scored a TD when our offense could barely muster anything other than a three and out, he was making some impactful tackles, and made up for his one big lapse in coverage.

A great CB can be beaten and give up a TD on any given Sunday.  The best ones get it back, and Norman does that.

he constantly plays dumb football...yeah, it didn't cost us.

Consistently dumb play will eventually cost you.   And the reason it is called dumb football is because it should never cost you.

issue is his consistency in dumb behavior on a field

well, to me....that wasn't elite CB play today.  It was a dude who made 2 plays.

When Bortles of all people sees you as a someone to target.....THAT says something.  Pick 6 standing.  It was evident Bortles was going specifically at Norman.

But it is silly of me to ask people to look past the showboating pick 6 to talk about him in general...

Still think the plays he makes over the course of a season will be canceled out by "bad Josh"
