Blocked FG's

The call to kick it was right. We had enough 'play not to lose'  calls in the past. However the ST play on FGs is absolutely unacceptable.

Ron called out the very troubling issue of blocked FGs.  I'm sure it will now receive priority attention and they'll make changes.

But it's great to see improvement in all other aspects of ST.  We've won field position battles in quite a big way last week and this week.  Our returns our better, our coverage is better, and Nortmann's punting today was AMAZING.  STs are improving.  Thankfully the blocked field goals did not cost us either game.

Why was that even kicked!  Run on third down and take out the 2 minute warning, Pin them deep on a punt, and go to war...Worst play calling at the worst possible time..Straight stupid

Because NOT going for the FG with a 7 pt lead and ending the game would have been a catastrophically stupid decision....go back to playing Madden.

    • I'm salty every time I see someones mid picks become stars while we throw first and second rounders over and over and they all stink outside of Tet (who still has a lot to prove, imo)
    • There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at.    In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there.  The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not.    There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.
    • Nacua is really fuging good. He might be a better version of Cooper Kupp.
