Notes and Memos - Saints

Agreed.

Granted, they used a smart game plan (lots of quick throws) to try and nullify what they expected us to throw at them, but even when McCown held on for a while, we weren't there.

I knew this was going to be their strategy going in, dependent upon Brandon Cooks being ready to go...just looks like we are not so great without Luke leading this defense.

shaq and TD did great jobs of containing, we just caught some bad breaks on good passing and awful officiating extending drives and negating solid plays by our D.

Great win...on to the next

The classiest fans in the swamp, via SaintsReport:

We had no answer for Olsen and then Browner lets Ginn get by him. Typical Panther performance. They have gotten good at just plodding along. I still don't think they are that good of a team...we are just that poor of a team. Was glad to see they lost Charles Johnson and Jonathan Stewart to injuries. I don't want to see them win anything big...just get crappy draft picks.

again these threads have 0 to do the game or the fact that we won the game. I don't have to love this particular thread to enjoy the win. That's shitty logic shut your mouth

The point is, no one forced you to open this link. You don't have to be here. Feel free to leave whenever you want and go enjoy any of the plethora of other threads here on the huddle, or anywhere else on the web. Don't be that guy that shows up to an event and bitches about everything."The drinks are bad and the music sucks. I don't understand why people like coming to theses things. They're so stupid." No one likes that guy.

Pretty sure this thread predates pie.  As in it goes back as many seasons as I can remember on the Huddle.

Take your asshattery somewhere else and quit shitting up a tradition.

if it's a tradition to take low blows at your fellow fans reactions during games then maybe it isn't such a good tradition. What is the tradition in some lame attempt at jokes? Y'all will put up 15 pages on a PU thread saying how much it sucks but the minute any one else calls out a lame thread for what it is its "shitting up tradition" get that wack poo out of here

taking shots at PU has become a bit of a tradition of its own, and so is posters over reacting, so you fit right in.

where did you get that 1. I hate winning and 2. That I'm a panic "bonnie"(whatever the fug that means)

These threads are literal ass

What's the point in them? Cause I don't see it

If you dont like them, then GTFO,  I usually get 1 to 2 good chuckles every time one of these are posted and that's more than a lot of what gets posted on here?

Re: Pyrotechnics

For future reference, when the coaches say they want to "set the field on fire", it's a metaphor for the football team playing very well.

We request that you refrain from taking this statement literally in pre-game festivities to come.

    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
    • Ppl want to trade Melo? Am I wrong for thinking that would be a bad idea?
    • Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
