QB Index: Win-loss stat overrated

"Just about everyone who watches and covers baseball knows that wins and losses is an overrated stat for starting pitchers. Yet it remains tough for the football populace to come to terms with putting win-loss records into context. Quarterbacks get too much blame when teams lose, and they certainly get too much praise when they win. Football remains the ultimate team sport, and that's even true when it comes to the game's most important position."

Well, it seems the NFL's best have finally figured it out. Funny how many things change when the Seahawks are 2-4. 

In other news, Cam made the top 5. He was actually given credit for slicing up Seattle in the 4th vs. all the credit going to the miscue. It's also funny how things change when you win......who knew???

Also something noteworthy considering our future game against Philly. Bradford...is slated 27th.

I think the changes in the rules to more favor the passing game has directly caused this.  It used to be that a team lived and died by whether or not the QB could make the throws.

Now, EVERYONE can throw the ball.  So in a way, the NFL has commoditized the passing game.  Everyone can do it.  The difference between the good teams and the bad teams now lies mostly with who can play defense and special teams and who can run the ball.

      We won 5 with the worst defense in the history of defenses.  I think free agency and our draft puts us over 6.5.

      Leaning towards just ordering this tonight, but now I have no idea on size. Has anyone bought a bunch of jerseys in the last few years and can convey how the Game vs Limited vs Reebok versions all fit? These are both Mediums... The white one here is a Reebok one from 2010, and was when they had the "+2 length" on the tag and it was the version with the stitched numbers instead of iron on... the blue one is from 2022 and is the F.U.S.E Limited version also with stitched stuff, not the "game jersey" with the ironed on numbers/letters that they have the T-Mac jerseys in. The old one fits me fine, the blue one was always a tad snug on me, particularly in the shoulders I'm leaning going with a Large based on the CMC, but for all I know, that is made with a tighter cut due to the higher "limited" level and the "game" ones they have for T-Mac are cut more like a T-Shirt and thus will fit more like the old white one I have here, not sure. (and yes, I already tried going to a sporting goods store here to hopefully try on a Lions jersey to see, but they don't have any right now)

      I think there's a ton of potential in that WR room. But they really are unproven right now. Hopefully they live up to the hype.
