Sure it could. How long has the new rule been in place and how many OT games have their been? Probably not very many and chances are the first team to score wins it.

All the games I've watched in OT the team that scored first always won. That's just from my experience though.

New OT rules went live in 2011, so it's not that unbelievable. Still seems fishy though.

Used to the Colts FG would have ended the game, but we got a chance to match their field goal per the new rules. We matched theirs, and then got a stop on defense and kicked another one.

First time it has ever happened.

Apparently there was one other game with 3 scores in overtime:  JAX v HOU in 2012.  Don't know the details.  See the discussion following the original tweet for more.
