6) Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton, Jonathan Stewart & Greg Olsen

Preseason rank: No. 9

Remember when everyone buried Carolina after the Kelvin Benjamin injury? No slight to Stewart or Olsen, who've picked up the slack, but Cam's got this team at 7-0 with Ted Ginn Jr. and Philly Brown as his starting WRs. Numbers be damned: He's only behind Brady in the MVP race.

Don't really have a problem with our ranking, but GB at #2 is a joke.  Yea, Aaron Rodgers but Lacy and Cobb have been hot garbage.

Not sure I agree with the Packers being ranked that high. Only reason I can think for them being rated that high is name value, because even with Rodgers play this season, Lacy and Cobb have both been fairly pedestrian. When you look at the other triplets: Palmer is having a career year, CJ2K looks revived, and Fitzgerald is on pace for a career year; Dalton is having a big year, Gio is running well, and AJ Green is a stud; and Ryan is playing well, Freeman leads the league in rushing, and Julio is having a huge year. All three teams triplets should be ranked ahead of the Packers. And an argument could be made for our triplets to be ranked ahead of them on the basis that Cam v Rodgers is even, but Stewart and Olsen v Lacy and Cobb comes out in our favor.

For me, it should be 1. Pats, 2. Cards, 3. Bengals, 4. Falcons, 5. Panthers, 6. Packers.

Fast foward to Dallas, they essentially lean into the same game plan against the Cowboys and I think everyone was surprised by how quickly it started to look complimentary.  In my opinion the productive offense really helped the defense as well.  We played quite solid against a top offense. Finally we make our way to the Jets and Bills, Chubba's return.  You can't say the low scoring affair and return to ineffective football against the Jets was all on Chubba, they were indeed a better defense and so was Buffalo.  But the production difference between the two backs in both games was both visually and statistically obvious.  The bigger picture is the offense took a major step back as well.  They are other moving parts and it's isn't all one thing, BY9>Dalton by a decent margin at this point.   But yeah, Rico's vision and athleticism is just better than Chubba and it jumps at you.
    • First day in 3 weeks my pain started to dwindle just a tiny bit.  Got switched from hydrocodone to post-shingles pain patches.  My insurance refused to pay for my patches as I’m too young for shingles per them.  I also need a prescription to get shingles shot and insurance also won’t pay for it even thought I just had shingles and in high risk to get it again.
