I was among the FIRST to purchase my PSLs and have owned them since the beginning. Never plan to sell them. Will pass them on to my kids. Until a couple of years ago, I had NEVER missed a home game and went to many away games. I'm known as the biggest Panthers fan around. I haven't been able to attend games for the past few years due to health reasons. If/when I'm able, I will be right back there. I have attended Panthers games in total pain, in a cast, in a boot, getting there early and never leaving early.

I DIDN'T purchase my PSLs as an investment or to play the market ... and I have NEVER knowingly sold my tickets to opposing fans. BUT, it's still my right. You pricks who think it's a sin would NEVER buy my PSL or my tickets for what they're worth. You'd want me to give them away to "deserving" Panthers fans. Get over yourselves. Buy the damn tickets and go to the damn games yourselves. Don't bitch if someone else buys the tickets for what the market allows.

Did you miss the part where I said my season tickets are going to a Panthers fan? Why do you expect more of PSL owners than you do of yourselves?

You should have just mentioned that in your first post because that obviously makes things different. How are we supposed to know that? Hope things go okay for you.

You should still lay off people that can't afford season tickets though. Sounding a bit like Scrooge McGrinch over there.

Wow you're an asshole. Do you know why people beg for free or discounted tickets? Because most people can't afford to spend $800 to take their family to a game like yesterday's. People that would kill to have access to season tickets like you have.

You can see yourself as a smart free market capitalist that sells all of his tickets (although LOL at how stupid your investment is, so many better things you could do with that money if that's all you're trying to do) or you can be seen as a great Panthers fan. Can't be seen as both buckaroo.

Hope you enjoyed the money you made off yesterday knowing that your tickets could have been turned right around and sold to Packers fans. Hope the noise from the cheeseheads didn't bother you yesterday because you very well may have contributed to that.

You CLEARLY didn't read my post. I did not sell my tickets for profit to yesterday's game or any game. Try reading, next time. (And, I'm not talking about people who won't/can't purchase tickets for hundreds of dollars above face. I'm talking about the bad seasons or mediocre seasons when people aren't even willing to pay face value.

Here's an idea, if its that big of a problem for your budget, dont buy the PSLs...  let someone who will go every game and support our team buy them.

Not everyone on this board can logistically go to a single game each year, let alone every game...  but we damn sure expect those who buy those PSLs will do just that, and represent all of us.

fug a free market.  That's some bullshit...  if you can't afford the investment, then let someone else buy them.  You wanna play the stock market, go log on ETrade and stop allowing our stadium to get overrun with opposing fans.  There is no excuse for it.

But these ARE legitimate reasons for what is happening, and the way those folks got their money is by smartly using their investments.

Again, the Packers have a terrific fan base that does have a program similar to Roaring Riot in addition to transplants and a nationwide following. It's the only thing Green Bay has and as such it's similar to a college town and they follow with the same furvor as a college team.

The Panthers are by and large a young fan base that hasn't built up the income to invest in something like PSLs.

Packers, Steelers, Redskins, etc. Any of the "old guard" of NFL teams is always going to be well represented in every market on the road. That's not a problem unique to the Panthers, and it's not like the Panthers aren't well represented elsewhere despite the youth of the franchise and the small market.

The excuses are legitimate. Whether you choose to accept them is another story. I still go back to 55k at Fan Fest and the Arizona playoff game as great examples of what we're capable of. With a great foundation in tact now (finally!) we're going to be just fine.

The upstairs had a gazillion Packer fans. The guy beside me bought them when tickets went on sale and paid regular price for them. It's not just stub hub. If you are a Panther fan and it bothers you that the opposing teams like the Packers, Steelers, Redskin, Cowboy fans take over our stadium, I suggest buying tickets the day they go on sale for those games.

Seem to be a lot of complaining about a few things I'm seeing. Ownership needs to do something. Not a good look this is being the topic of discussion of a b2b playoff team and an undefeated team in the NFL. Even the whole banner refund Cam thing. Like seriously Panthers? Seriously?

Packers fans who live in the Carolinas were willing to pay a premium to see their team play.

The tickets were going for over $200 for 500 level seats. A lot of Panther fans decided they couldn't pass up that kind of return on a $50 ticket. I just wish all Panther fans would try to sell their tickets to other Panther fans if they decide not to go or can't make it to the game.

On the rare occasion I'm out of town I have had my tickets posted here and the Panthers fans don't but them. Even when I attempted to sell them for half price

people talk about the stadium but nothing is free. Panthers fans can buy tickets just like the opposing teams but they don't

I already stated why.  There is a responsibility that comes with purchasing PSLs and if you can't ensure that a Panther fan will be sitting in your seats 9 times out of 10 if you cant make it, then you shouldnt take on that responsibility.  And that isnt expecting more out of anyone than i expect of myself.  I'm fiercely proud and loyal, and i expect my fellow panther fans to be as well.

And my apologies in my initial post to you, as a couple of things you said defending the resell of tickets just sent me off on a tangent...  I've seen the argument many times from others who dont have a reason not to go, and it pisses me off.  I wasnt intending to question your fanhood.  Your reasons are legitimate, but my issue is with fans who buy PSLs that dont have health problems or another legitimate reason not to go, but instead, see each week as an opportunity to resell the tickets at the highest bidder.  That is the people im directing my anger at.  Because they aren't fans, they are the problem.  I think the bigfer issue and what im railing against is that too many in our fanbase lack accountability or accept the responsibility that comes with buying PSLs.  Each of those people who lack a valid excuse for not going every home game think it'll be okay if they do it, because they expect everyone else to pick up their slack.  The problem is, ao many of our PSL holders think the same thing, and thats how we end up with our team playing in a "hostile environment."  And of course, there sre the dirtbags who i mentioned thatcarent fans at all but viewed the PSLs as an investment to cash in on, with no real interest in our team.

I just want our team supported and want our fanbase to be strong and respected, and when it feels like the crowd issues at BoA arent getting any better season after season, that is discouraging.

Just FYI, I did attend the game yesterday.

I bought my tickets from another Panther fan, and he was nice enough to discount them for me from the $200 + Ticket Exchange was charging . I still paid him what we both considered a fair price. I didnt ask him to give them to me for face.

I have an infant son and will be talking to the Panthers soon about purchasing PSL's so I can take him when he is old enough. I don't blame anybody for selling their tickets and making a little money back. I just wish that instead of selling them on a third party site, Panther fans would take a little extra time to make sure to sell to other Panther fans.

I can see Panther Lover's point though, that until recently it might have been difficult to find Panthers fans that would pay what fans of out of town teams would pay.

Jerm...ask @LawCLT how he handled they guy who wore panthers gear to every other game this year then cheered against us in full Packer gear yesterday.

Lol, yet another illustration of how weak our fanbase is.  Unbelievable.  Maybe it is because we are one of the "newer" franchises, but idk...  the more excuses we make for not being a strong, rabid fanbase, the more ho-hum, non-committal fans we keep and create.

i didn't read all the post on this topic but the answer is simple. Packer fans wanted to see the Packers at the beginning of the season and have been buying tickets to do so. A lot of Panther fans decided they were fans when the team started doing well and a lot of tickets were sold already. Hopefully wining thins year will change it in years to come...

    • Bryce also has a degree in psychology. He has an uncanny ability to compartmentalize things in a way that allows him to enter his second NFL season with optimism that he can still be the player who was worthy of being the No. 1 pick of the 2023 draft despite the kind of rookie year that has destroyed others in his position. Young credits that in part to his past. He graduated from the University of Alabama in three years with a degree in psychology. His father was a therapist in the mental health field for 20 years. His mother was a special education teacher, and his grandfather was a psychologist. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40334565/bryce-young-developing-leader-panthers-year-2
    • This is just stupid. If Tepper owned the team and they were in your backyard it wouldn’t be any different after 6 losing seasons. People would be pissed and it just wouldn’t be any different.  This malaise is Tepper generated.
