Ron a little surly in his press conference today

It sucked that it happened to a Packer fan, I generally like them, they're usually a pretty classy bunch.  That said, I think Cam and the crew have had enough of the house divided bull we can have in our stadium.  He pissed off 1 opposing team fan while at the same time energized the real panthers fans.  I don't want to be classless like Philly, Cowboy, or jets fans, but I do want our house to be intimidating and I'm sure our team does too.  The stadium can make a simple rule, any signs hung over the railing into territory that is not their seat is liable to be removed for "any" reason...just so happened that reason was because it's opposing team BS.

Edit: Just read, there is a rule in our stadium against it.  Idiot got what he deserved and Cam showed some gonads for his team and Fans.

Dude is the one that needs a talking to. Give him a replacement and tell him don't bring that poo to BofA again.

I was on board with that sentiment until I found out that we have a policy against exactly what he did.  He's SOL, now he should have to spend his own quarter billion dollars or whatever ridiculous amount he paid for that derpy sign to replace it on his own.

Fans at BofA don't have to be classless, but they don't have to be motherfuging doves either.

By the way, I just watched the whole press conference.  I really don't think Ron was surly.

He did quickly cut off any questions about the banner.  But other than that, he seemed his normal self.

He was focused on some areas of weakness "key details" the team has to improve in, but he also talked about how much the team has grown (individuals and as a team), and the leadership in the locker room, and how he likes the team's attitude.

And he reminisced about some of what he learned as a part of the 85 Bears and their great start and what Ditka told them to help them stay focused.

Good stuff.

I think that because the Panthers official told him that we'll take care of him, then we will monetarily or by replacing the sign. But that's the only reason.  A man's word ought to still mean something.

Exactly, I COMPLETELY agree.  I'd like to see our fanbase model itself after someone like the Chiefs.  Arrowhead is a hard and loud place to play, but you never hear about a fan getting a knife pulled on them or any other dumb poo.

You're right, and we both know JR would never do what I said, but I wouldn't really mind it either.

I watched the session and I didn't see or hear any surly responses.  Looked to me like a coach putting an end to the "controversy" and trying to get out in front of it.  He did show some firmness when Joe Person went back to the topic that Ron just said he was moving on from.

I get that the media has a job to do, but come on. Who are you writing articles for? Other media members? or the fans? Are there really any fans who care about this banner thing other than to make fun of the guy for paying $500 for it? Ask questions about the team and the game. Blows my mind. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that the media members (some not all) write articles like they're writing for other media members to read rather than write what fans want to read.

**Climbs down from soapbox**  Thanks for listening.

Oh, I think he was indeed surly, but not about that.

It's the "things he can't control" and "can't talk about" that seemed to get under his skin.  In other words, the piss-poor officiating.

Plus I do think he's pissed that the team allowed Green bay to get back into it.
