So...the Titans, other than being in the worst division in the NFL

I haven't watched them closely yet but there's really nothing about their team on either side of the ball that worries me. Sure their rookie QB has looked good in his 2 games against the NFC South, but the Bucs and Aints are trash on D and Josh will make Marcus pay unlike the Aints defenders did on that 60+ yard TD to the TE off of their hands. They have no run game, no run defense and a decent secondary when healthy. Horrible matchup for them going against us considering we've been poor against the run but great against the pass and are the #1 rushing offense in the league. Obviously shouldn't overlook them and this is still the NFL so any given sunday, yada yada yada, but this could be our easiest opponent so far this year.

Byron fuggin' Bell at Right Tackle is what they got, and the rest of the O-line is just as bad except LT Lewan. He's not bad, but not exceptional, either.

Couple twin tower WRs Hunter and DGB. One had a TD and the other had like 70 yards vs. the Taints terrible defense, so of course they're now the second coming of Jerry Rice according to their fans. Their real #1 WR Kendall Wright sat out the Taints game. He's a Randall Cobb-type, except not as good. RBs and TEs are a collection of has beens, never weres, and he's still playings?

Defense is where they have some talent. Dick LeBeau left Pittsburgh and joined the Titan staff. He's turning that unit into an above average one. Titan fans will point to their #5 ranking, and I point back at their schedule so far. Hey if we have to deal with it, so do they. DT Jurrell Casey is their KK, but without Star, CJ, Jared, Ealy, etc. OLBs Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo are getting to the QB. Secondary is overachieving as a whole. Run defense based on the matador philosophy of let Safety Michael "Whiffin'" Griffin try to live up to that draft position.

P.S. The Flaming Thumb Tacks are eating $4.34 million in dead money cap charges because they cut Michael Oher. The Tacks are doing the same with Velasco. He's taking up $250k of dead money cap charge. Thanks neighbor!

TL;DR Rioters going to Nashville (which locals believe is a tourist hotspot for everyone in the league) should bring plenty of banners. They'll be the only ones there.

their fans are thinking they can win their division now at 2-6 hahaha. Guess I can't laugh too hard considering us last season but still

Not even that ridiculous either lol.  They win this week (they won't) and they're only 1 game off the division leaders.  Damn

The only possible way they could beat us is if we have a total mental snoozefest post-Gauntlet. The Titans (right now) have nothing. I do like Mariota a lot though, they'll have something with him in the future.

Someone alluded to Byron Bell...he doesn't start for them does he?

Right Tackle.  He was playing guard but they just moved him to tackle.

    • Okay then. To me that means Russell Wilson was Coryell. Because I see the proposition completely in the Russell Wilson punt/pass put it up for grabs mold. Count on the receiver to catch it or knock it down.    And the reason I thought that was the intent with Legette is the abysmal downfield game from 2023. As in, there was barely any.   I look at it as if… the result of a deep attempt isn’t as important as the opponent understanding they have to defend it. So I was all for some 50/50s. Coryell, Walsh whoever.  I do favor the Coryell approach personally but also very much value versatility, it doesn’t have to be strict. Just make the defense defend the whole field, however you do it. It has to include downfield throws.
    • Sold, or in the process of being sold. Could be either way. Consider this for a second... Last season, our defensive coordinator steered what many have called the worst defense in NFL history.  Canales would absolutely have been justified in firing him, and no one would have blamed him if he had.  But what did he do? He gave Evero another chance to come back and prove he could be better. Does that tell us something about Canales? I think it does. Now apply that to Bryce 😕
    • Canales has never been part of big YAC offenses in the NFL.  That’s not his tree.  Not in Seattle, Tampa or here.  Every O he has been associated with basically has been bottom half of the league in YAC.  That’s what Bryce needs to happen though  2 very different things….and very much gets into why the middle school QB doesn’t fit
