What Cowboys Fans Are Saying

You came here proclaiming Romo is the savior and expect our fan base to lie down before him screaming his praises. You're mad because we aren't worried about Romo. Nobody said "he was a bad QB". Please quote where they specifically stated that. You came here, to our message board, pumping TR up and claiming he is elite. He is not elite. That's laughable. I don't care what his QBR is in ONE December in his over-decade career. He has 2 playoff victories in 6 playoff games and he's what, 35 years old?

You're lyin to yourself if you say you wouldn't take Cam over Romo. Cam is 26 and the most unique QB to ever play the game. You probably think he is a "running QB or gimmick QB". You will be painfully disappointed tomorrow evening after we send Romo back to mediocrity, the place he's grown accustomed to.

OP said he wouldn't crack the Top 5 QBs the Panthers have faced. That's wrong. Subsequent posts have relied on everything but facts to refute my rebuttals. Sorry Chief.

Okay,

Romo will be one of the top 5 QB's we have faced after tomorrow. Happy? Bring something substantial to the thread and quit letting posters troll you. What are your thoughts on the game?

Dallas needs it more. Panthers have a chip on their shoulder so I'd say motivation won't be hard to come by for either team playing on the big stage.

Panthers defense has no holes outside of nickel corner. Their DL can get pressure without blitzing. LBs are going to make running difficult. I think it will actually be an ugly game.

Cowboys defense is actually better than they look. Easy to run on but hard to score on.  Dallas actually has a TE cover specialist in Byron Jones but he probably won't be able to do it enough because our starter is out.  Dallas is going to try and play keep away, have to protect the ball. Dez will get his if Norman is playing him 1-1. This is a big test for both teams but I don't even think Dallas is out if they lose because the Giants have some tough games. TOP is going to be big so whichever offense does the most with their opportunities wins. Hope its Dallas.

That guy has Jessica Simpson, Sophia Bush, Carrie Underwood and Candice Crawford on his list. How's yours holding up?

Will they be on the field tomorrow? Blocking? That would be delicious!! Igo, get your camera ready!

Okay. Romo seems to be the only person on the planet Earth that can energize 52 players to end a 7 game losing skid. Say, what? Fifty-two players. A professional NFL team. That is cringe worthy. Not on Romo, but on the rest of the team and the coaches. So, what exactly are Cowboy fans celebrating?

I think the 1st quarter will have some good football played on both sides. By the 3rd quarter, the Cowboys will be imploding on the sidelines on the way to a loss. You can't discount the personalities you have there, nor the lack of good coaching. Ask Tennessee & Washington how far being chippy got them.

Oh, and this:

Newton named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for 2nd time in 3 weeks, 5th time in career ➡️http://panth.rs/20q8xz

Actually, the quote from OP is:

"Tony Romo doesn't crack the top 5 in QB's the Panthers will have faced this season."

I take that to mean the entire 16 game schedule.  So:

ARod, Brees, Luck, E. Manning, Wilson/Ryan (tbh I would not put either of these over Romo but it is arguable)

Tenses are all the rage this holiday season.

For the sake of diplomacy, I will give our Dallas visitors three crumbs:

1) Romo is a good to very good QB

2) Dez is a damn fine WR

3) Your stadium is beautiful

We're still going to kick your ass tomorrow. We are a cohesive team of 53. You guys have some talent at top, little quality depth, and you don't yet have the chemistry to play as a complete team.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
