Stewart out vs Giants, CAP will be involved with Fozzy starting

Wish CAP was starting and Fozzy was coming off the bench.

We are a power running team which CAP is better suited for along with his incredible patience and awareness for a rookie. It's the perfect style for the scheme we've been running.

Fozzy is scat back which means they may have a different offensive game plan which I don't like since it's been the same thing for 13 weeks straight.

Tolbert is likely to start with Dickson or Simonson in the backfield.  Dickson played FB a lot in 2014 when Tolbert was hurt.

Just saw it tweeted out, it's a good move in my opinion.  Also please sit Olsen.

I don't think you sit Olsen yet. I'm aware of the injury factor but we gotta win this week if AZ wins to get the number 1 seed. The problem is AZ plays Sunday night. At least play him until halftime and see what we're looking like. AZ can still beat us for the tie breaker.

I also figure Tolbert will get a majority of the carries which means less CAP opportunities.

I think people need to brace themselves.....b/c I think Sunday could hit people in the face with the fact we can't run block (at least consistently).  Add in a slow to the line HB like Tolbert and we likely could find ourselves behind the chains a LOT.

What Stewart has done this year is EXTREMELY underrated.

If that holds true, it put Cam at much greater risk for multiple reasons.  He has to run more and being behind the chains puts him at more risk in the pocket.

I think we will know more about Tillman's odds after his body reacts to today's practice.

To your previous post, that's why I would prefer Wegh's and CAP be active.  Those guys are more shifty and promise to be more of a bruiser, you know, other than "scat back" Whitaker.

yea, you're right.  your comment made me go back and double check the notification.  I missed a key word the first time: "hope".  "hope Tillman will play Sunday"

that's fine. pass against the league's worst pass defense to set up the run, and let tolbert grind it out with fozzy spelling him double trouble style. try to utilize CAP in the screen game and see if you can take advantage of a shoddy perimeter defense and linebacking corps that will likely blitz to make up for a terrible pass rush.

we'll be alright.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
