Nothing much to say really

Huddle threads have become oddly predictable this year. I keep visiting for new content from across the interwebs, and sadly there's not much good content to be shared.

Here's what I do know. We're 13-0 with 3 games left. The only undefeated team in the League for a few weeks now. All kinds of implications on the line, resting players, not resting players etc.

I'm sure we all have enjoyed this ride thus far. Like many of you I'm sure there's much more yet to come. The future is a funny thing ain't it? Wish we knew what next week's story line was.

Went to dinner last night and wore my Cam jersey. Plenty of compliments, plenty of small talk, but nothing of substance. It was an almost empty feeling. It's almost as if everyone I spoke to had more to say to themselves than they did to me. That's when it hit me. We're all thinking it, all wondering when IF* ever this streak comes to an end. I think we all know that we MUST hoist that Lombardi in Feb.

Winning all these games has been fun, we've all enjoyed it. Hell, we even love the hate spewed against us weekly by the national pundits. We love all of this, we're enjoying the ride. Tomorrow, we'll face another formidable opponent that is favored to beat us by most, then when we beat the brakes off of them, they'll point at their record as the reason why said team couldn't beat us. Confused yet?

I say all of this mostly nothingness to say this. Enjoy every second of this journey, just like the players are doing. DVR the games and watch them over again to truly appreciate the dominance.

I' ll stop rambling now, but I just figured everyone else is just as bored as I am watching this boring Jets game, or out watching Star Wars. Sitting there wishing there was something of substance to read to hold you over until tomorrow. Truth is, there's nothing that can fill that void, other than that next win!

I don't understand....what did you expect to happen when you went out wearing a Cam jersey? Were they supposed to talk to you as if you were the actual Cam Newton?

I don't understand... Did you expect anything other than a douche bag with teeth and hair to respond? This board is full of poo heads and losers who wake up for some reason every day to judge posts.

Dude (or chick, not sure).......you don't even know me. I lost all my teeth and most of my hair years ago.

How ironic.

    • Which is all I was saying from the get.
    • The bad thing is that Xavier Legette kind of ignored the Jugs machine his rookie season. The good thing is that he's committed to it now. Catching is important to an NFL receiver (sarcasm), but, perhaps just as important is a receiver's---any player's---mindset.  "This offseason, the young wideout has gotten back to something in terms of preparation (Jugs machine). 'Oh man, it’s always been something I’ve done, and I don’t know why, but I felt like I could take a little breath,' explained Legette (via Darin Gantt of Panthers.com). 'And when you’re playing in this game, you can never do that. It’s always a way to get better, and that’s one of the ways to help with catching. For sure, for sure. In my mind, I’m thinking about ways, things I can do. What can I do to have less drops this coming season in Year 2? 'The whole mindset has changed, man,' added Legette. 'Trying to do anything I got to. I’m sacrificing a lot of things that I used to do outside of the building to put my work inside the building.'" https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/xavier-legette-focused-on-reducing-drops-that-plagued-rookie-year-with-panthers-01k1692c0tz9 So, yeah, it wasn't good coming in taking some things for granted, but Legette is young. His mentality appears to have changed and he appears to be maturing and he's been putting in a lot of work by all accounts.  I know some of you are down on him, but I still have faith. Last season was a disjointed mess in its entirety, but there were still some flashes, particularly with route running. With Legette's seemingly better fit as the WR2, mindset and focus---doing his actual job catching the ball---he should be able to improve. Lastly, I'd like to add, props to Legette for being so open about the need to improve and change his mindset. Some guys wouldn't necessarily admit that publicly. If nothing else, he's honest and down-to-earth.
    • It is worth noting the fanbase has long held a love hate relationship with PFF over the years. Now that we are employing some of their people and actively using their data in our roster building approach going forward this should serve as the end all be all to any debate. This is either going to end really well or really bad. It's the Panthers. So save your energy and give it some time.
