We won but

ok lets be realistic. We have played great football. The giants really got back into this because of us not really playing offensively. We thought they would break and seeing us up 35-7 even I was like take Cam out. We thought we were cruising to another big win. Then we just took our mind off the game. Stew not being out there was big. CAP played decent for his real first game but he is a rookie who hasnt played alot. The fumble and miscommunication wouldnt happen with Stew. Other than that an the blocked FG we played pretty well. I think Norman did a heck of a job. He not only held OBJ down he took his mind out the game. Josh then had control of OBJ to get him to make stupid mistakes that will hit him in the pockets. The run defense couldve been better. But we were more worried about the passing then running. The comeback was all on short field opportunities and nothing that was long consistent drives. We just lost focus. But we will be fine.

I'd feel a lot better if they learned from their mistakes.  Almost letting Indy win after a 17pt 4th quarter choke?  Nearly choke against GB.  Almost let Brees put up 40 against us?  Smother a faltering falcons team, but then give up TWENTY EIGHT UNANSWERED in a little over a quarter.

Cam can't keep bailing them out forever.  No one in NFL history could do it every time.

I just want to say

Panthers fans have to stop with the no buts. Honestly if we lost, this forum would have flipped. Being undefeated doesnt mean the problems shouldnt be pointed out and discussed

OK back to your post. The NFL doesn't just give wins away. As much surprised like any one else they came back, its definitely not uncommon. Even very good teams struggle to beat bad teams and some even have head scratcher losses. I wont fuss about those scores, my main problem is special teams. I'm not forgiving Ron excuses for it being so bad and I definitely wont forgive him if they lose us a game in the playoffs

It's true, it's true.  Special teams mishaps have been at the fault of two of those near comebacks, three if you count the NO game.  Imagine that FG not being blocked and us going up 17 instead of the turnover at the 50 yard line.  Or not missing the XP in the Colts game.  It's nice they've come through at the end of Indy/Giants games, but we should never been in that position.

Led by 17.  OT

Led by 23, GB had final possession to tie it up

Led by 28!  Giants tie it up.

3-0, but it keeps happening?  Coach Rivera why do we lead the NFL in FGs blocked?

I dont want to feel negative - I love the win - but this type game- anyone else get the feeling that these breakdowns in the 2nd half are going to catch up with us? I have 0 confidence in our field goal unit  even after the win.  I almost hope it happens before # 50 so we get it out of the way.  Go on and flame me -  its the way I feel - being sober may have something to do with my take on reality.

huh?? flaME ABOUT WHat. Incoherent thoughts!! The Punter and St's do need help..becoming suspect

thats good because we aren't hanging 41 or 38 on Arizona

Why not? Bridgewater moved the ball with relative ease against them, and our offense is better than minnesota's. He just couldn't punch it in, but we can

And to anyone fearing Seattle...  They are in the midst of playing Bridgewater, Clausen, manziel, and case fugin keenum. Yeah, they're playing well but let's not act like they're doing it against playoff caliber teams

I don't know why a lot of you get mad at comments like this. If you're not upset after today's game, something's wrong with you. Wins are always better than losses, obviously. Duh. And frankly I knew Cam would lead us down the field to the win (how awesome is it to say that?). But I don't see how in the world you can be 100% thrilled when we completely fell apart and let that huge lead slip. And you know why I'm so mad? Because I know we're better than this. And I know we're a leading contender for the Super Bowl. I wouldn't get like this if we sucked or were mediocre. But I know our potential. So I don't want to see us ruin it because of something like this happening in January. We beat the Colts, Packers, and Giants after blowing big leads, yes... but there are no guarantees we'll be able to survive it happening again in the playoffs. So it is completely and perfectly understandable to be upset after today. It isn't being negative or any of that crap. It's being realistic. I love this team more than anything in the world and I know they can do better. And guess what? I guarantee you the team feels the exact same way. So hopefully they'll make sure that this doesn't happen anymore the rest of the way. We simply cannot afford for it to happen again.

Now, with all that said. There's only one thing to do... Keep Pounding.

What's amazing is how fortunate this team is on how the season keepa unfolding. This game and the Cards being on our heels is perfect for keeping the edge.

We got bored demolishing a good team on the ROAD.Bored.

Now the key is resting smartly and getting healthy.

    • You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely taken a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.
    • Frank, ceding control of the defense in no way verifies that Tepper told Canales to bench Young.    It certainly buttresses the idea that Canales would need permission to bench him but that is as far as you can take it.    After that it is pure speculation and it doesn’t make sense.
    • Uhh, okay yes that happened. I didn’t like the pick either I am a 3rd or later RB guy. Always. Actually hated the CMC pick too. Hated the Stewart pick.  No one wants to talk about trading the #39 in that draft and what he did with that.  Got #52, #155, and the Rams 2025 2nd to boot.   The 52 and 155 plus our 142 5th rounder to go up for a Brooks Everyone wants to forget about the 2025 2nd for that Rams trade  which was used to move up for Scourton.  That Rams trade down was a great deal for us.
