Inside the NFL - Giants/ Panthers

My observations from the whole show:

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE the closing segment on Coach Beam. @RoaringRiot got a visual on the t-shirt during a dance-off.   I liked that it really helped bookend that first 15min segment where they really torn into the OBJ/Norman issue and shows the side of the Panthers that WE all know is, like, 99% of the time.
  • Surprised they took Ron's midfield apology in a totally different way than we all did here.  They were like, "yeah, Ron - you should apologize", with no mention of Tom's lack of apology.  Ron showed that HE was the stand-up, better person.  Showed the team what you're supposed to do - act like the man you want the team to be.
  • The edit of the helmet hit followed by Tom's commentary on the sideline should be an indicator that he DID know what happened at the time. That he didn't choose to take action right then is telling.
  • Super surprised that they were practically defending OBJ's actions on the post-clip commentary. Definitely said that OBJ should have been suspended, but they then went into a "but the Panthers' comments made him do it. It's a man's game, blah blah blah."   In other words, all the same crap we've hashed over here and had better conclusions on.

All in all?  The NFL clip was pretty good. The post-clip commentary was interesting, if not a bit misguided. And Coach Beam remains the heart of the team -- too bad that his segment had to be included on an episode with such a dirty undertow on it.

Thanks for the recap
