Rivera apologies to Tom Coughlin for our players' behavior after the game (from here).

Don't read into it that he is admitting that our guys truck first etc, I don't think that is what is going on here.  Just goes to show what a great coach Rivera is, and how lucky we are to have him.

I kind of disagree with Ron here.  Seems to me like Coughlin should have taken OBJ out a play or two and had a man to man talk.  I mean OBJ was punching people out there before the helmet to helmet hit.

Edit: But I guess Ron can't apologize for what Coughlin's player's did.  Still it seems like Coughlin could have apologized too.

I don't think saying "Sorry for how our guys behaved" at all implies that "Your guys were faultless."

It is indisputable that Norman lost his cool, though I think anyone reasonable would have, as well.

Really? What BS. I'd agree with that statement as far as trash talking goes, but the Giants seem to be using Panthers trash talk as an excuse for Beckham's actions. Trying to justify his fouls as "the way the game's played" is a big fat crock of poo, and goes directly against Coughlin's rep as a disciplinarian.

To be clear Tom, what you actually said from Day One was that you didn't know Beckham was the one drawing the penalties.

Those comments are Coughlin's swan song. They can't beat the Vikings without Odell, which means they're eliminated from playoff contention, which likely means Coughlin is fired. And all old Tom can say about it is bumbling confused ramblings to blame everyone but himself.

      No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.

      It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
