I'm not too worried about losing McD.  If he gets a head coaching gig good for him.  Rivera has always had a too D where ever he's been.  Wilks would keep it going just fine.

About the offensive coordinator thing, I have a feeling that we've just entered the time where the OC is gonna have to leave Cam's offense the way it is, each year, Cam is gonna get better and better at calling the plays and making the audibles. Pretty soon it's gonna be like Manning offense. Same thing with the defense and Luke.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see McDermott as a long-term head coach in the NFL. Some people are meant to be coordinators.

No, Rivera had more than a few interviews before he became a head coach. Nine in fact.

Good article (though Peter King didn't write it; Robert Klenko did).

However, not sure this guy even knows Shula was QB coach in 2011, and not OC. The writer also didn't mention the Panthers offensive ranking either, helping justify his candidacy. 

I guess, that's why he had him "only" at #9? LOL

we have 6 players from our offense voted to the pro-bowl, however, so talent may not be as bad as it seemed.  Yes WR talent pretty thin, but we have an elite QB and TE, and very very solid RB, and solid C, RG, and FB.

I just threw that name out because of his intensity and ties to Rivera. 

I know everyone is screaming that the coach picks the coordinators, but the GM has to be the one that hires him so gonna venture to say that Gettleman will have a say

Yes, league rules do allow this. However, the team has to give permission to allow its assistants to interview. Don't be so sure the Panthers will allow it. There is some precedence to this.
