Fans who wear team gear to a game that teams not playing in

Why in the living hell do people do this? Even with good intentions, i can't wrap my head around the dumbassery.

Here is some backwards ass hillbilly steelers fans "logic".

People do it so they can cheer for whichever team they want to, depending on the score......you're guaranteed to walk out a winner and talk any poo you want.

My BF insisted on wearing his Broncos to our game on Thanksgiving. His reasoning was he wasn't going to wear another team's colors or logo, but as a football fan he still wanted to rep his team. I think it's silly, but I get it. I did tell him it works both ways, so he can expect me to rep my Panthers when we go to Denver.

I havent been the guy.... But what would you wear if, hypothetically, you were local to the venue, and were handed tickets to say, Ravens at 'Skins? I'll be damned if Im going to anything football related and not wear Panther gear....

normally I agree with you but yesterday the Steelers needed the Jets to lose to the Bills in order to make the playoffs - so that one makes sense

This drives me nuts. I went to my first panthers game last year and right next to me was a man and his little girl both in tom Brady jerseys.

Whenever I go a game in London I always wear Panthers gear, but I guess cos it's like a 'neutral' site it's a different thing, you see jerseys/attire of every team at those games

It doesn't bother me. They're repping their team, good for them. Shoot, for how much some of the gear costs, I'd wear it to a game too, any game lol.

All anyone is doing when the sport a jersey of a non competing team is asking for attention.  It comes down to a personal desire for attention at an event that isn't about you and nurturing your low self esteem.

Haha I appreciate that. He's definitely from the last one who was a Cowboys fan. I've sworn them off altogether. I made an exception for him cuz his team is AFC, and he'll root for my Panthers, too. :)

Most of the time I agree, that makes sense though... as the steelers were in head to head comp with the jets. If you live close to the game and like football. Why not. 

Normally though where there are 2-3 patriots fan at ever panthers game just don't make sense.
