Clemson vs Alabama National Championship Game Thread

Mother Grabber we all know margin of victory can be as tiny as being less than a yard short from goal line (St Louis win over Ten), one bad playcall (Seattle vs Patriots), or in this game's case onside kick recovery. Or maybe you take the player that blew his assignment on kick off return. Or take away any of those multiple plays the DBs had miscomunications or get burned down the field and Clemson could easily won instead.

Just doing the little things right will make you much better football team.

yes, and you're bashing Clemson like they are a crappy team. Alabama barely won, and needed 2 huge special teams plays to do it. Both teams are very good.

They didn't  barely win,  Clemson  was dominated in the 4th Qt.  A TD in garbage time does not make it close.  Bama controlled that game when it mattered. If it were not for Watson, Clemson would have been killed in this game.

Huge note for special teams of Panthers please for the love of god do not all coverge on one point when the reciever is trying to curve around the edge and get it down the sideline. Notice how after those players all missed the dude trying to pinpoint him at one point and not spread out enough to guard against him just running around them clumped up and get the edge for the td run.

That was just poor coaching.  Ron is not that dumb.

Clemson fan here who watched every  Clemson game and I can assure you that they completely pooed the bed and gave this game away on special teams.  It hurts to lose because our coaches failed to see a weakness in our coverage that opened us up to an insides kick and had no plan to correct our lousy kick coverage that plagued us all season.  Season means nothing by losing tonight just like the Panthers season will mean nothing if they lose next Sunday.

I wouldn't say the panthers season means nothing if we lose Sunday. It will be a severe disappointment of course, but at least with NFL team you have much more time to groom a team to correct mistakes and go further the next year. Turnover in college football is so much more frequent and hard to keep great players for years.

What's wrong with pulling for a South Carolina team to win?

Don't hate on my home state. LOL!

Everyone in the Carolina's should be cheering for Clemson.

Well, don't expect everyone in the Carolina's to cheer for Clemson, many people even don't cheer for the Panthers though they are Carolias residents.

Clemson has poor special teams.  Staff doesn't correct things.  Opponents take advantage of it.

Carolina still hasn't corrected the timing of their FG snaps that date back to last postseason

Don't care about college football so I didn't watch the game.

So why post here? You think anyone was wondering whether you watched the game or not?

BTW, you'll be seeing a lot of guys who played last night in NFL uniforms in the future, and won't know who the fug they are.
