What if it was the Panthers relocating....

I remember the speculation in the teams down years, that JR would pull up roots and go to LA. Well the Rams are going and leaving the city and fan base blowing in the wind. They have been in St.Louis for twenty one years ( as long as the Panthers have been around).

I can only imagine the hate and sorrow that the die hard fans are feeling upon losing their team. Not a good look for the SOB owner and the NFL. I know it's a business and money talks, but it just doesn't seem right.  If we where in their shoes, it would be awlfull for the state , city, and fanbase. RIP ST.Louis Rams.

Like you can't watch every Panthers game on tv? Congrats on living like the rest of us who moved out of NC

It's more than that. I'm not so sure I would be able to continue my dedicated fandom had they up and left the QC. Not saying I wouldn't but I can't say for sure, would definitely be devastating.

Assuming that NC did everything they could to reasonably keep them. I would feel betrayed as a fan, which means I would likely look elsewhere for a #1 team to closely follow and support.

Once a team abandoneds you, I think it's reasonable to switch teams to cheer for. I moved out of NC, however I stayed loyal to the Panthers.

I would probably still loosely follow them, but I would be done supporting them in any way financially. Let's hope that never happens!

Now they have to stay in Charlotte to retain your love? Can't move to Raleigh or SC?

If the Panthers ever moved then I would cease following the NFL for the balance of my natural life, even if Charlotte got a new team shortly there after.  When the Hornets moved and they gave us a new team I follwed the new one but I have never felt the same passion, and I was a lot younger then so it was easier to get back into it.

At this point in my life if a team of mine just up and moved then that would be that, much like when the NHL cancelled a season.  I use to love hockey, without it I found better things to do with my time and I have not even watched five games in the decade it has been back.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
