Playing on Sunday at 1

Besides the Seahawks playing at 10 AM from their perspective, how else does it play in our favor? I think Ron has mentioned during the regular season he's more comfortable preparing his team for a 1:00 Sunday game than any other time. Maybe because it's normal routine, idk. In 2013 we played the Niners in the same time slot in the divisionals, but let's be honest it was our first playoff game since 2009, and we were playing the defending NFC champs. In hindsight it was a tall order. We might still have the defending NFC champs on our plate this week, but the team should be more acclimated to the playoffs as this is the third year in a row they've made it. How comfortable are you that this is a Sunday 1 PM as opposed to a Saturday prime time?

If i recall, the Niners were an anomaly with the early kickoff for a west coast team.

I guess it's perspective and mindset.  Seattle feels like they have house money and all the pressure is on Carolina. If that helps you ok sure.

I would have liked a Sat kick for a shorter odd day week for Seattle. It's so late in the year that the edge may lie in healthy players and ball control and protection more than anything else.

crap, it really is rain and snow on sunday.

out of all days, why this sunday?

Cam hates this weather ... look for a heavy dose of stewart/tolbert/CAP ...

There is very little chance of any significant precipitation on Sunday afternoon.  I doubt our gameplan will change one bit.

    • A 12 year old playing madden can draft better than anyone the panthers have had under David Tepper
    • Throw in the fact that you have to overpay free agents to come here.  Everyone wants to win--or at least have a decent chance at winning. This followed the Bryce Young trade up draft.  That is the draft that crippled an already crippled franchise.   They moved up to #1 and paid the king's ransom only to admit that they weren't sure who they were going to draft--then they picked the wrong guy....amazing incompetence. Now let's take a look at the AT trade--we basically got some future mid round draft capital.  Minnesota has a QB on their roster who reads quickly, is accurate, and is only 24.  (Brosmer).  Minnesota is keeping him on the roster because on the PS, they would lose him.  Is he the answer if we traded AT for him?  Maybe not, but there is potential--as much potential as you will find on day 3 of the draft.  He would be, at worst, the best backup QB on the roster.  Now, did we give Dalton a ton because he has a good relationship with Young?  What if Young does not work out?   Then you have 2 mistakes and no QB. I dunno--I believe in competition, and I believe there should always be efforts to improve the roster--are we trying to make ourselves not look inept?  With Baker and Darnold leaving Charlotte for successful turnarounds, are we capable of having a good QB?   Cam was natural ability and he had the Alpha gene, and we drove him into the ground.
    • When he looks like trash this week against the Cardinals what's going to be the excuse?
