Hobbled Allen vs. "Fresh" Delaire?

And I realize that Kony will get the start but watching Delaire not active week after week has been bothering me.

I'm confident that if active you would see him with some healthy number of plays in the rotation.  This is the time of year when his speed off the edge could really make a difference.

Sit Allen, let the young boys feast.

We're not playing Russel Wilson so we dont have to worry about containment. Let delaire pin his ears back and rush the passer every play. Make it a game time decision....

I'm sure the Cards wont be looking at Ryan Delaire film.

Is Allen at 80% better than Delaire at 100%? I don't know and that call is for the Panthers staff to make. I like that it might force their hand to have them both up. The one thing we truly need on Sunday is fresh legs rushing the passer and if having Allen and Delaire available on some key 3rd downs I'm all for it. Jared Allen is playing on heart and drive at this point. He will make a play on Sunday, might be THE PLAY. You can't make this stuff up and let's be honest, this whole season has been made for a storybook.

Idc. If Allen wants to play let him play. Just don't start him. We need as much pass rushers as we can. Someone else can sit

If Allen is active than Delaire is liable to be inactive.

So, speed on the edge is not the only reason I would be in favor of seeing Allen sit this one out.  What if he gets in game mode and feels a twinge?  We would have his replacement in street clothes.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
