To get there tomorrow

I live in WNC on a private mountain road.  Could not get to work the last 2 days.  Someone with a tractor cleared some snow  an hour ago.  But my downhill decline still treacherous.

Just dug my car out and shoveled a path to the end of the drive.  I will not get to my tailgate as planned at 8am......but....I will be there.  Might be freezing here but hell has not frozen yet.

GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful. Not worth risking your safety over.

Thanks.  For a while, thought I would not make the game.  My seat partner planned to be at the tailgate at 8am...means me leaving at 630am.  Going to wait until above freezing to leave.  Kindly he has agreed to accommodate me.  When I get home...likely will have to hike up a big hill because road will be frozen over.  But watching the Panthers win will be worth it.

i am in Western NC also and where the sun hits the roads have made them somewhat passable.

Any way you can take your care down the hill this afternoon and leave it at some neighbors house?  We are expecting 15 degrees in the morning and it might not thaw until after lunch.

Just wishing I had your problem, haha.  Will be watching from home, bummer

Coming up from the Keys and have to stop in Raleigh, but still not sure how 40 to 85 is going to fair tomorrow morning.

Anyone know how bad those highways are to Charlotte?

I live in Kannapolis and the main roads are pretty much clear, but there's still bad spots. Just allow yourself extra time and use common sense. The roads will freeze overnight and be slick as Cardinal shidizzle in the morning, be safe and Keep Pounding!!!

    • Cooter, Kurb, others have passed on to glory….  Praise be.
    • Oh good for them! Hope this is the start of a long happy time in their lives here.
    • There was no reason to believe in either Cam or Jake as a top tier elite QB before those seasons either. Cam was an "athletic" QB in most people's minds and his passing skills were open for debate. And there was a bit to that as he was still trying to get that massive power in his arm tamed to be able to put some touch on his passes. And then, he did it. Missiles became bombs, the firing lanes became points of finesse. Cam grew up and leveled up, while still retaining the ability and drive to truck people whenever he wanted. And Jake... no one freaking believed in Jake except Jake himself. He got, and let's be honest with this, one chance in a losing game to make something out of his career. And he rose to the occasion like some kind of mythical hero and continued to do so for the season. He became a true leader for the team, and his gunslinger capabilities rehabbed Moose's career and created Smitty as a force in the league. Smitty went from a barker to a biter. But no one believed in Jake going in. And they trashed him on his way out. Now Bryce... who knows? I've seen some improvement. Maybe he finds his footing. His teammates seem to love and respect him and that means a lot. The game should be moving at his speed now. He has weapons available to him and maybe a defense that doesn't just roll over by the third quarter. And his coach seems to be moving this team in the right direction. Could he do it? It's up to him, if he can find the magic like Jake and Cam did. But don't doubt this, magic is really, really hard to find.
