Pass rush without Allen

We rushed the passer better but our run defense suffered some without him. Yes I get the irony but it's the truth

I think Allen is the better fit against the relatively run-heavy Broncos. But Ealy, Addison, and Delaire should get significant playing time. That said... this:

Ron's just gotten the Panthers to the big dance.

I'm going to defer to his judgement on this one.

What did he do? I honestly don't remember him doing anything. All I can recall is Short and the other ends getting to the QB.

He had a sack and FF, not to mention he blew up a running play in the second half that made the stadium go ape poo

Secondaries always look better when pass rush is effective, even more so when its someone like Palmer instead of Wilson. Wilsons scrambling causes players to get free on most defenses, against someone like Finnegan/McClain thats exasperated. That gives us a bonus in the superbowl as Manning is basically the complete opposite of that

We will rotate them more often. I think Allen, Harper and Tillman retire when we win. TD I still think has some years in him and he wants to be part of the dynasty. We have quality backup in those positions that we can move forward. Boston replaces Harper addison will be a starter next year. Horton will stay and If CJ restructures Norman and Short can get signed. The way I see this playing out and the brotherhood this team has put together, I see nobody leaving and all wanting to stay but still give them a fair deal. McClain will probably stay and play next year for Tillman. Then we are just looking to get depth. Tolbert signs another 1 year deal.

Thomas Davis could be interesting if we win the Super Bowl.  His body has taken some real abuse.  I know we love that dude but if he gets a ring I could see a family man like him could evaluate his future.
