I had fun.  Needed more alcohol.  It was noon and the DJ was constantly berating us.

Throwing out the "I CANT HEAR YOU!"  Once or twice is great.  After the 20th time in an hour I am just like "Fug you why dont you listen better" lol

But it was fun and turnout was fantastic!!

We got there at noon and it was lame like you described until the last 15 minutes.

Yeah you missed out on the real excitement. We walked by the doghouse and we're the ones they were talking about around 12:15, cheering a bit there before we headed to the stadium and dreamed that we were going to pickup our tickets.  We talked to a few fortunate people and then made our cam cameo for espn that may make it on air.  Took a few pics in front of the stadium that I've always wanted to do without fans in the way.

On the way back we made pics with the Mills statue and visited the team store which was insanely packed.  They had to have every register open and still had 50 people in line.  I was able to see first hand the items I had been wanting and picked some of them up.

We then ran into some more lucky lotto picks and had a blast talking to them. Referred a few to roaring riot and the huddle to help them find oit where the panther fans are hanging out in SF.

All in all we had a blast but mainly due to just hanging out with excited  panther fans.  The pep rally wasn't really exciting but TBH the player portion, and seeing Rivera's smile as he was driven off was just icing on the cake for me today.

Wow our Mayor is terribly lame - "We got Spirit yes we do!"

Are you kidding me?

Wife loved Tre Boston.

Please tell me that you are making up the "we got spirit" thing.  Please.

Oh no. I would not do that. It was insanely awkward. She had us do the "We got spirit how 'bout YOU!" part, IIRC. My brain was kind of shutting down a bit at that point.

I muted the television when I realized what she was doing. It was too painfully awkward. Un-muted when coach showed up.

Well, she tried. I'd say less than half of the crowd participated. It felt like it went on forever, but that was probably the secondhand embarrassment.

    • To all the analysts who said "Caps in 5", thank you for telling us their departure time.
    • We won't know the answer to this for a long time. Reality is, Caleb has been the consensus #1 in that draft for years. Bryce was a similar situation, but mostly the same. He was not the clear and obvious #1 that Caleb was, but most teams had Bryce at QB1. The Panthers were always going to be terrible Bryce's rookie year.  I don't think DJ Moore's presence would have changed anything about that offense, as our guards, center, and left tackle were getting demolished on nearly every snap. It's clear Caleb's dad was trying to do everything possible to ensure Caleb didn't end up in Chicago with Eberflus. It's hard to imagine that he wouldn't have done the same, but probably more publicly with our situation, considering Carolina is an easier target for the media than Chicago. We can all speculate, but it's impossible to tell who is going to have the better career on May 16, 2025. If either QB doesn't pan out, we have an easy answer. If both flame out, the bears clearly won the trade, but it wouldn't have really mattered anyway. We all know how we win the trade. Candidly, even if one of the other picks we gave up ends up being a hall of fame player, we don't know if the panthers would have taken that player anyway. All you can do is make the best decision you can in the moment with the information you have. I really like Bryce Young, and I'm glad he's a Carolina Panther.  The only way to win in the modern NFL is to have an absolute dude at QB. I personally am happy that our franchise recognizes this, as I remember times when they did not.
