Post Super Bowl thoughts

1.  Ruled incomplete pass early in game was bullshit and set the tone and allowed Denver their first TD.

2.  Refs called stuff on us that they didn't call on Denver. i.e. no hold on Denver cornerback on that Ginn pass deep in Denver's territory, but we get called for hold on Thomas in endzone.  Bullshit.

3.  We had our own self-inflicted wounds from the numerous false starts,  3 or 4 fifteen yard penalties.  Tolbert had 2 fumbles (1 recovered.) Cam had 2 fumbles, and that last one where he didn't jump on the ball when he clearly had a chance to recover really bothers me.

4.  That punt return where we had 2 men within 1 yard of the returner and we didn't tackle him and allowed him to run it back 60 yards.

Overall a great season marred by a terrible game with bad calls by refs, and too many mistakes by our offense.

And let's be honest here...we weren't even supposed to be in this situation.  We lost KB before the year began.  We were down 2 cornerbacks, had one d-lineman playing on a broken foot and 1 linebacker with a broken arm.

All in all we did the best we could.  At least we made it which is better than 30 other teams.

Cotchery should have caught that cleanly anyway.  I figured the refs would be slanted but Cotch was juggling everything and catching nothing.  Funchess is the real deal though.  Him with KB & Ginnwill be a beautiful spectacle.  Ealy and Norman I thought had great games.  Roman Harper is too slow to be effective.  Teddy Williams is a bonehead and should not be on the 53 man roster.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
