I do that with NFL threads because those, while relevant, generate less discussion.  I tend to think it's best to concentrate all that in one place.  Occasionally a major move deserves a thread of its own, but for the most part I find an omnibus thread works best.

Panther news generally deserves its own thread, in my opinion.

It's not true.

Whatever intern was in charge of that page screwed up and reported that it was Davis.  The contracts that actually voided belonged to Harper and Cotchery.

Yes, this is what I was envisioning.  Just a chronological record with tweets / links to Panthers contract news.  No discussion.

Separate discussion threads can be made to DISCUSS the news... as was done yesterday re: Cotch/Harper contract voiding, and signing the new punter.

Agreed...  I wasn't wanting to stop that.  Just to do a both / and

My problem is that for the next 3 weeks, I will be very hard pressed to find time to follow Panthers news, and I can't wade though pages & pages of threads here or many hundred tweets to find out what I missed in terms of important contract news.  If there's one thread with links, it's easy to catch up, and click on the links to find out more...  

But it seems it's not really in Huddle culture to just have a news thread without commentary and it will grow out of bounds of usefulness.

Oh well.  I was hoping the Huddle could help me save some time and not have to hunt for news.  I'll find a way.

Maybe sites like BBR or PFT will be workable in terms of there being less stuff to wade through there, and of course, Panthers.com has the transactions page.
