Just FYI. Has talked about 5 min so far but they said they'll be back after commercials. Basically so far, he's somewhat surprised about CJ being cut. Also was asked about playing for a diff team and he said couldn't envision himself outside of Carolina but business is business

Round 1 went to Norman.... Gman working on a plan one way or another for him in 2017..

I think Gettleman is going to have to work something out to keep Josh around for another few years.  Gettleman says it takes a good three years to see a rookie come along and be "ready."  He also said he doesn't want to develop players for other teams.  Josh has been just great the past season and a half.

He's part of our great defense, and we need him.  They are going to spar over the contract, but I think it gets worked out for 2017 and beyond.

He's now on Russillo and Kannell and he makes it clear he wants to be here, but empasized "nothing is personal," and said he hopes it works out but if it doesn't, then that's how it has to be.  Did say they have until June or July to work out the long-term deal, but his tone just seemed disappointed.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like at the very least they are VERY far apart on numbers, and at most, they are so far apart they don't anticipate ever getting close enough to get a deal done.

He also ranked himself as the 5th best CB of all time tied with Darrelle Revis. Needless to say, that's how he sees and values himself and will be asking for the same amount of money.

That's our J-No!  Hey, ya gotta love his confidence & swagger.  Hopefully his going on record to say such a wild thing will make him PLAY like one of the top 5 corners of all time....

But he sure is inviting scrutiny & ribbing....

And no, this doesn't really bode well for contract negotiations for a long-term contract as a Panther.

But, his personality is a big part of what makes him such an electric & fun player to watch.  He's very right in what he said about this being entertainment and people coming to watch a certain kind of product.  He continues to bet on the entertainment value (and play quality) that he can provide.  Hope he continues to shine.  And hopefully it's in CLT.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
    • Burns at 5-6 seems....a little aggressive.
