Mike Tolbert “I may be on the move, you never know.”

Panthers free agent FB Mike Tolbert said he’s had some talks with Carolina about a return, but plans to entertain other offers in the coming days. (Sirius XM NFL Radio)
Tolbert added: “I may be on the move, you never know.” (Sirius XM NFL Radio)..

“Do I want to be? Yeah. Do they want me is the question,” Tolbert said. “I can’t sign a contract by myself. It remains to be seen.”

Tolbert has been selected to the Pro Bowl in two of his four seasons with the Panthers. He rushed 62 times for 256 yards and a touchdown this season, and caught 18 passes for 154 yards and three scores.

Tolbert, 30, believes he can play another four to five years “at a high All-Pro level.”

It's been a good ride but it's probably time we move in a cheaper direction at FB. Plus he wasn't nearly the weapon this season as in years past.

 

Plus I'm still pissed about the Super Bowl..

Tolbert came back from his injury with 0 of his old burst and ability to push the pile. He gets stuffed more often than not now, so his inability to actually block is no longer outweighed by other things he offers. I wanted to cut him last year to save us that 2.5 million.
