Josh Norman to Redskins or 49ers by Friday

Looks like Redskins will sign Norman tomorrow to $15M annually

Josh Norman - DB -  Free Agent

The Washington Post reports the Redskins have made an offer to free agent CB Josh Norman.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Norman is fielding five-year deals worth between $14-$15 million annually. With an estimated $11.6 million in cap space, the Redskins would have to get slightly creative with the structure of the deal or do some mild cap gymnastics to fit that size contract under the salary limit, but the cap is not a real concern. Norman is meeting with the Redskins on Friday. The 49ers are thought to be the other team seriously involved in negotiations.

I don't think so, but I bet Josh weighs his options more thoroughly. Bet he visits with San Fran and any other teams that may be interested before making a decision. Also, more time goes by, more money for Josh as teams try to outbid each other.

That rotoworld blob doesn't indicate what you assumed at all.

I figured Washington was going to make an offer, just like I'm sure SF will as well.   There could be a bidding war between several teams. I don't think him to Washington is a lock though, but who knows

Well, he's flying to DC instead of SF.

Dude is flying to DC after contract offer in $15M range... Do the math.

And when San Fran comes calling wanting him to visit and offering $500k more per year? And then another team joins the bidding war? And he actually can't even officially sign anywhere tomorrow. He changed agents so nothing can be official for a certain # of days.

    • Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.
    • I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
    • I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
