Love the picks!

We got 2 6'1 CBs with plus size arms and extreme athleticism to play in Carolina zone based D that made Josh Norman and Peanut look like probowlers... CB speed is irrelevant in our scheme... Physicality is everything! You got to remember who is in our division..  Julio Jones, Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson.  With our front 7, teams will be forced to pass... You won't be able just to lob over the top... We are going to make opposing QBs work hard to pass in between our LBs and Safeties.

Josh Norman was probowler because of his skill sets and IQ he helped this team go 15-1 but we do have good prospect in Bradberry

idk about 3rd round pick

Josh Norman was in a dog house a season before last....  Let that sink in.

This guy is big, lean, antithetic, great tackler and with super long arms...  He is a perfect fit for our team.

Because he free lance not because of his  playing ablilty. He was picked as ALL -Pro by pp who actually knows about football more than you or me

Yes, he free lance in his zone...  Which is what zone cover corner supposed to do....  That's why it called zone coverage.

I am happy with the draft so far.  Won't say I'm happy overall until it's over obviously, and I won't say we drafted who I wanted (that never happens), but I think some of the people who are loudly whining and protesting that they've lost faith in Gettleman / that he blew this draft are just....well bless their hearts.

agree, idk why everyone is being babies. we loaded up the front end to keep an elite pass rush which will then make our flagging secondary look better, and then bolstered our flagging secondary with some young fresh blood. the camp battle is going to bring out the best of everybody and will probably be one of the focal points of media coverage.

i don't see how anyone can hate it, especially given how well rounded we are as a team to begin with.

His Iq? Lmao you must not remember how long it took him to learn the defense or the Buffaloe game he lost us by not understand where he was supposed to be.

All pro - jumping routes, making game winning interception knowing where Cooks was going, the sack on Russell Wilson ,...etc

dont try to diminish the man. We got our picks and it should help us move forward from Norman.

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
