When it comes to stuff like this, I'm sure the players are working with our training staff and not just taking it upon themselves to do it. If the staff thinks he'll be better off ten pounds lighter then I'm not gonna argue with them.

They honestly don't care every much as long as it doesn't impact them in drills. I remember during the mora jr era in Atlanta his entire offensive staff was convinced no offensive linemen could be over x weight and would put weight loss performance clauses into their contracts.it was nuts.

For a more local example do you think anyone is going to mine Tolbert and telling him to cut?

Good point.  Just kind of strange they'd want him to cut 10+ lbs. from 220.  Of course, another thing to consider would be the possibility that he put on weight after the season was over.  Maybe he's down 10 from 230ish.

I'm sure they really had you hands on writing the programming when you hadn't completed your degree.  I actually lift and wouldn't be rock bottom at the combine in the majority of events. Calories In vs Calories out, glycogen stores etc etc are not Planet Fitness.  I would have hoped your community college degree would have taught you that much at least.
