Mike Craft has HIGH expectations for Shaq

In the latest edition of Panthers Pulse, Mike Craft expresses great enthusiasm for how Shaq Thompson is developing:

The comments on Shaq start at about 3 minutes in.

"This guy is making a jaw-dropping play every day out here on the field"

Predicts he could be a 3rd Panthers pro-bowl / All Pro LB!

Preach it Mike!

Are we playing the negative Nancy game?  "Yeah, but can he play LT?"

It's great that the team is seeing Shaq improve!  That's expected.  My hope is that he attaches his brain to TD and soaks up as much as he can before TD retires.  Shaq has some great tools, and I hope he is able to contribute for a long time!

people get excited about this for some reason

It's called football fandom in June. Show me a pic of a player scratching his ass in OTA's and I'm excited (but not about his ass).

I get it.. Mike Craft isn't necessarily the first person I'd goto for X's and O's breakdown and who is standing out on film.. He is the voice of Panthers.com (he is good at it IMO) but that's pretty much it..

If the Panthers want to get word out to the fans that Stephen Hill is recovering at a 'record' pace - he does the assignment.. If KK is holding out and causing a distraction - Mike Craft isn't going to be the one compiling that video together..

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
