Joakim Noah reported to the Knicks and poo, 18 mill per season.

Yeah, this offseason is shaping up to be a shitstorm thus far.

Noah was the big I really wanted and felt best fit here.  Now, the other "top tier" bigs left are down to Dwight and Whiteside, both of whom will command more money than Noah, and considering their respective histories, both would be horribly risky to invest that much money into.

I think ultimately, we may be left standing at the altar when it comes to Batum and any potentially significant FA signings.

Gotta adjust thinking when it comes to numbers though, since the cap has skyrocketed

Gonna catch some hell but if we could get Howard and Batum, that would be a haul

Agreed, except the last I heard, Howard was looking for 30M per.

Were about to give 15 million to freakin Marvin Williams.......................................................

And my wallet closes for them for a while if they do that. Remember the 1st year of Williams' contract? When he didn't care and played like crap only to wake up in a contract year? sigh :+(

Hopefully the Whiteside/MJ connections pay off.  18 million for Noah? Yikes. I get that A LOT of stupid money will be spent, but Noah is going from making 12 million in his prime (where he was a borderline All-Star at best), to being an old, injury prone, non offensive threat making 18 a year...

Lol.

Im ok with resigning Marvin but only like a million dollar raise. I dont care about his cap percentage or any of that crap he is worth about where hes getting payed now at 7 million not much more than that.

It sucks feeling helpless in free agency down here in Charlotte.

But nothing can feel worse than the way Knicks fans have to feel all the time , top market and still cant sign anyone. If Melo wanted to play with Drose and Noah he should of left a couple years ago to Chicago and he would have had a chance not bring in all these guys years later to NY

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
